It is not every day that you see a man using an expensive car like the Porsche 718 Boxster to set a social example, definitely not to mix concrete to fill a pothole. Now, though, that has been done by a man in Bengaluru, India, who used his sports car for something nobody would have thought of doing and documented it. The video has now gone viral on social media.
Potholes are a menace to deal with, especially for sports cars with a stiff suspension setup and a low ride height. To tackle this problem, an entrepreneur named Akhil Hemadri decided to take matters into his own hands by filling a pothole with his red 718 Boxster, spreading a message online about civic responsibility.
The video, posted by Bengaluruupdates on Instagram, shows how Hemadri brought bags of cement and gravel into the frunk of his red Porsche and unloaded them onto the car’s hood. His associates, who followed him in a Range Rover Velar, helped him in the process.
Preparing Concrete on a Porsche 718 Boxster
Hemadri seemed like a professional for the task, as he first took off his blazer and his watch and put on a pair of gloves to prepare concrete. He then mixed cement, gravel, and water from a can on the red Porsche’s hood using his hands and a trowel as vehicles passed, with occupants likely awed by what was happening.

Soon, a thick concrete mixture was ready, which Hemadri filled the pothole with and flattened the surface using a trowel and his flat shoes. The task did not take long, but the Porsche’s hood was covered with concrete that seemed like it would stay there if left to dry.
The post describes Hemadri’s efforts as an act of civic responsibility, something that the authorities should have done in the first place. Fortunately, the businessman was clever enough to protect his sports car’s paint from potential damage.
Can PPF Protect a Porsche’s Paint Job From Concrete?
After the pothole was filled, Hemadri peeled off a layer of Paint Protection Film (PPF) from the Porsche 718 Boxster’s hood, revealing a glossy, spotless finish underneath. The PPF had done its job, protecting the paint despite concrete being mixed directly on the surface.
Courtesy of the PPF, Hemadri was able to pull off a social act that not only filled a potentially dangerous pothole but also created viral content while preserving the carโs finish.
Sharing the video online, Hemadri emphasized civic responsibility, noting that in a densely populated country like India, citizens must contribute to maintaining public spaces and that the government alone cannot manage everything.
Not Everyone Likes Concrete on a Porsche
While Hemadri’s act drew praise, not everyone was convinced. Some users suggested the stunt was more about promoting PPF than fixing roads, while others questioned why he did not mix the concrete directly on the street.
“Really good initiative.. but flexing wasn’t needed.”
“He can mix cement on road itself ๐๐คฃ๐ ”
“PPF advertisement”
“A big slap on Govt system ๐๐”
