The subreddit r/dashcams has some of the craziest dashcam footage you will ever see. Every day, new clips are uploaded that make you question people’s driving credentials and wonder how they ever got a license. Such as this video uploaded by user Flashmemory256.
The video is simply entitled “BMW Driver Gets Karma After Getting Mad Over Wait.” As the title suggests, it shows a BMW driver getting angry at having to wait a small amount of time for a school bus to move along and for traffic to begin to flow.
It isn’t quite clear in the footage, although it’s highly possible that the school bus was stopping to pick up or drop off a student. And if that is the case, traffic in all directions will have had to stop and wait for the bus to carry on with its journey.
For whatever reason, this BMW driver hated the waiting and got very angry at the bus. So he tried to do a typical BMW move and angrily drove past not only the dashcam car but the school bus as well. You can probably guess how that unfolded for the BMW driver.

The dashcam vehicle we were in was waiting patiently for traffic to start moving again. In the video, the bus appears to be waiting for traffic to move so it can enter the intersection and continue its journey. In the rear-view camera, we can see the BMW that will soon be incredibly angry lurking behind us.
The traffic begins to move, and we slot in behind the bus, with the BMW still behind. You might expect the BMW to have settled down now that traffic is flowing again. Sadly, the driver of this particular car was incredibly angry at the wait and had clearly lost any patience they’d had during that time. So he decided to aggressively overtake our car and have a go at the bus, too.
As you have probably guessed by now, that move went a bit wrong. The BMW shot around the outside of the dashcam car, but as it did, the driver realized the sidewalk and a raised wall were coming up fast. It was too late to stop as he mounted the sidewalk and the wall, with half the car on the wall, and he also hit the back of the school bus. If he had been a little more patient and less agitated, that wouldn’t have happened.
What Reddit Users Said About the BMW Incident
The driver then climbed out of the BMW, quite sheepishly, and it looks like they are embarrassed by what has just happened. Reddit users were quick to poke fun at the BMW driver and call him out. “What a [expletive]. And then he gets out like everything is cool. Dude, you hit a school bus and cut off someone in a turn. Should be an automatic loss of license and a huge fine,” said one user. “At least he didn’t get out mad at someone else – appeared to be some self-awareness there,” said another.
More light-hearted comments appeared below the video. “Oh, so that’s why Tesla put air rockets on their car… to get over obstacles like that,” said the top commenter. “Ok, now the rockets make sense,” replied another user. There is no denying, though, that the BMW driver was definitely in the wrong in this instance. Hopefully, they have driven more carefully and not become too impatient since the incident.
