Nissan just gave us one of its biggest future product previews in years.
During a media event in Japan, company executives, including CEO Ivan Espinosa, revealed what’s coming over the next few years.
Perhaps somewhat surprisingly, there’s a lot for enthusiasts to get excited about.
From off-road SUVs to sports cars and hybrids, Nissan appears to be throwing everything at its comeback strategy.
Nissan Rogue Hybrid Is Finally Happening

Nissan has been painfully slow when it comes to hybrids.
That’s finally changing.
The company confirmed a hybrid version of the Rogue is coming with its third-generation E-Power system.
Unlike traditional hybrids, the gas engine acts as a generator while electric motors drive the wheels.
It’s basically Nissan’s answer to range-extender technology.
Nissan Xterra Is Making A Comeback

This is the one many enthusiasts have been waiting for.
Nissan confirmed the Xterra is returning.
The revived SUV will reportedly be body-on-frame and focused heavily on off-road capability.
Pricing is expected to start below $40,000.
A V6 engine is expected, along with some hybrid assistance.
Nissan has also teased the Terrano off-road concept, but it’s not confirmed which markets it will be available in if it enters production.
A New Nissan Skyline Is Coming
Nissan also confirmed a new four-door Skyline is in development.
Executives say it will take inspiration from past Skyline models.
Unfortunately, it reportedly won’t come to America.
U.S. buyers may get a related version sold through Infiniti instead.
Infiniti Is Working On A Manual Performance Sedan
This was one of the biggest surprises.
Infiniti says it’s developing a new high-performance sedan with a manual transmission.
Power is expected to land somewhere above 400 horsepower.
That’s becoming incredibly rare in today’s market.
The Nissan GT-R Will Live On
Nissan also addressed the future of the GT-R.
Executives made one thing very clear: there won’t be a fully electric GT-R.
The next-generation model will reportedly use hybrid power instead.
That means combustion power is sticking around.
Could The Nissan Silvia Return Too?
Nissan stopped short of officially confirming a new Silvia.
Still, executives openly admitted they’d love to revive the iconic sports car.
For now, nothing is guaranteed.
However, between the Skyline, GT-R, and Xterra revival, Nissan suddenly looks far more interesting than it did a year ago.
