The Dodge Viper has always been one of America’s wildest sports cars, combining outrageous styling with an enormous naturally aspirated V10. Although production ended nearly a decade ago, collectors clearly haven’t forgotten about it.
One seriously well-preserved 2014 SRT Viper GTS has just sold on Bring a Trailer for an impressive $183,000. What makes this example special is that it has covered just 799 miles since leaving the factory.
The seller purchased the car new, and its original window sticker shows a price of $134,080. That means its latest auction result exceeded the original sticker price by $48,920, although that doesn’t account for inflation, taxes, fees, maintenance, or other ownership costs.
The result shows just how desirable exceptionally low-mileage examples of certain modern American performance cars have become.
An Almost-New Viper From 2014

This fifth-generation Viper GTS is finished in Gunmetal Pearl with contrasting black racing stripes. It also features a carbon-fiber hood, roof, and decklid, along with aluminum doors.
The aggressive exterior is complemented by black Venom wheels measuring 18 inches up front and 19 inches at the rear. Behind them sit red Brembo brake calipers, while adjustable Bilstein dampers handle suspension duties.
Inside, the GTS features black Nappa leather and Alcantara upholstery covering its power-adjustable Sabelt bucket seats. Equipment includes an 8.4-inch touchscreen, navigation, automatic climate control, and a 12-speaker audio system.
The cabin’s most interesting detail might be the digital odometer, which displays just 799 miles. That’s astonishingly little use for a car that’s now 12 years old.
An 8.4-Liter V10 With 640 HP

Under the long hood sits the Viper’s legendary 8.4-liter naturally aspirated V10, producing 640 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque. Power reaches the rear wheels through a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
Unlike many modern high-performance cars, the Viper was committed to a traditional manual gearbox and a massive naturally aspirated engine. That combination is a major part of its appeal today.
The GTS also came equipped with launch control and a five-mode electronic stability control system, making it somewhat more accommodating than earlier Vipers.
A $183,000 Auction Result

According to the Bring a Trailer listing, the Carfax report lists no accidents or other reported damage. However, it does identify an open safety recall and a manufacturer customer satisfaction notification.
The sale concluded on October 27, 2026, with a winning bid of $183,000. That’s approximately 36.5% above its original sticker price, before accounting for ownership expenses.
We have no idea whether the new owner plans to preserve those 799 miles or finally put the V10 to work, but hopefully it’ll be allowed to stretch its legs on an open road.
