Kim Kardashian has added another eye-catching vehicle to her collection, this time going vintage with a heavily modernized 1973 Ford Bronco. The reality star and entrepreneur reportedly paid around $285,000 for the restomod, which was built by Florida-based specialist Velocity Restorations.

Finished in a deep green exterior with white accents, the Bronco mixes classic first-generation styling with a thoroughly updated powertrain, chassis, and interior. Under the hood sits a modern Ford 5.0-liter Coyote V8 paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

According to TMZ, Kardashian purchased the Bronco for use at her summer home in the mountains and had it shipped there after taking delivery. She reportedly discovered Velocity Restorations through her brother-in-law Travis Barker, who has also been a customer of the company.

The build was apparently already completed and available for immediate delivery, allowing Kardashian to skip the usual 14-to-16-week custom build process. For anyone expecting a relatively stock vintage SUV, though, this Bronco is anything but original underneath its 1970s bodywork.

Velocity says the 1973 Bronco uses a fourth-generation 5.0-liter Ford Coyote V8 connected to a 10R80 10-speed automatic transmission. A custom performance exhaust system completes the powertrain package, giving the compact vintage SUV considerably more capability than anything Ford offered in the early 1970s.

The chassis has also been thoroughly upgraded for modern driving. Hardware includes a Dana 44 front axle, Ford 9-inch rear axle, Wilwood disc brakes with hydroboost assistance, Bilstein shocks, and a 2.5-inch suspension lift.

That combination should make the Bronco far easier to drive regularly than an untouched original. It keeps the classic appearance while adding the braking, power, and drivability expected from a six-figure modern restomod.

The Exterior Keeps the Old-School Look

The Bronco is finished in green paint with Wimbledon White accents, including the bumpers, steel wheels, and roll cage. Custom Ranger-style stripes help reinforce the period-inspired appearance without making the truck look overly modern.

It rides on 17-inch painted steel wheels wrapped in 285/70R17 Cooper Evolution MT tires. Velocity also added LED headlights, power-operated side steps, synchronized dual windshield wipers, new glass, fresh weather seals, and a protective liner underneath the vehicle.

A tan bikini top covers the front seating area while leaving much of the cabin open to the elements. Combined with the four-point roll cage, the setup gives the Bronco the open-air character that has helped make early models so desirable among collectors and enthusiasts.

The Cabin Mixes Vintage Style With Modern Comfort

Inside, the restomod features a Ranger Brown interior with custom seat inserts and high-back front seats. The cabin also includes a classic-style wood steering wheel, tilt steering column, Dakota Digital instrumentation, and a Tuffy center console.

Modern conveniences are hidden throughout the otherwise retro-looking interior. Power windows, Vintage Air air conditioning, and a Focal audio system with a subwoofer make the Bronco far more practical for regular use than a typical 1973 example.

Velocity also fitted all-weather flooring rather than traditional carpeting, which suits the vehicle’s intended mountain-home duty. The rear seating can fold and tumble to free additional cargo space when needed.

$285,000 Buys a Very Different Kind of Bronco

At roughly $285,000, Kardashian’s Bronco costs several times what buyers would pay for a new Ford Bronco, even in one of its more expensive factory trims. The price reflects the labor-intensive restomod process, bespoke finishes, and the extensive mechanical upgrades hidden beneath the vintage body.

Velocity Restorations specializes in rebuilding classic Broncos with modern Ford powertrains and luxury-grade components, placing its creations firmly in the high-end collector market. These vehicles are aimed at buyers who want the look and personality of a classic without dealing with many of the compromises that usually come with owning one.

For Kardashian, the green 1973 Bronco appears to be intended as a relaxed summer-home cruiser rather than another ultra-exotic showpiece. With a Coyote V8, open-air cabin, lifted suspension, and unmistakable early Bronco styling, however, her new mountain runabout is still about as extravagant as a vintage SUV gets.
