When it comes to dashcam footage, you probably expect to witness some very bad driving or an outrageous collision. However, one piece of footage from the r/dashcams subreddit on Reddit has captured a wild bit of footage showing what the original poster says is a “Karen” worker.
The footage was posted by user Motor_Fault_8806, and it was taken during roadwork. In the video, a worker is seen in front, holding up a stop sign. It looks pretty normal, but then the worker keeps walking backwards towards the dashcam vehicle before hitting the car as she does so.
You might be sitting reading this thinking, well, what is so special or ‘Karen’-like about that? Well, as you watch the video, you realize that the worker then tried to blame the driver of the car for hitting her, when in reality he was standing still.
She simply walked into the car.
The worker then seems to lose the plot entirely and gets incredibly angry and agitated towards the dashcam driver. She seemed to have failed to notice that there was a dashcam in operation during the incident, and that everything she did had been captured to share online.
The Worker Simply Walked Into the Car
In the video, the dashcam car is standing still at the lights as the worker goes about her business. But she has her back to the car we are on board with, and then walks straight in front of it. She then walks backwards before walking straight into the car, causing her to suddenly turn around and look bewildered by what had just happened. Yet there is nothing to be shocked about.
“What the hell?” the dashcam car driver can be heard saying as he realizes what the woman is trying to insinuate. It is clear to him that she is trying to suggest he drove into her. “It’s on film,” the driver says to her, while she continues to gesture towards him in his car. He can’t quite believe he is being accused of driving into her, and she still tries to suggest that was what happened.
The passenger inside the car can also be heard trying to convince the worker that she just walked into the car, and that it wasn’t the driver. He tried to drive away from the situation, but it sounds as if she kept following him across the road, and he even shouted at her co-workers that she had just backed up into his car. “You guys are idiots,” he can be heard shouting out of the window.
Reddit Users Were in Disbelief at the Situation
As you would imagine, users on Reddit were amused and stunned by what they had just seen.
“The audacity to get mad lol m’aam,” read the top comment underneath the video. “Flagger is the lowest of the low in construction. They have near zero skills, and their replacement can be fully trained and certified in 4 hours. They are always the dumbest [expletive] on the crew,” said another one, putting their feelings bluntly.
“Imagine all the stuff people got away with before we had cameras everywhere…” said another Reddit user. “This video has me cracking up. The look of absolute shock and offense on her face after SHE walks into his car is borderline cartoon levels of humor lmfao,” said a fellow user. Nobody seemed quite able to believe that the woman had blamed the car’s driver, when it was quite clear what had happened.
