Incredible dashcam footage has emerged on Reddit showing a high-speed pursuit with a Florida man trying to avoid police in a Range Rover. The footage was uploaded by user OpenBroccolis to the subreddit r/dashcams, and it is one of the craziest bits of footage you will see today.

The footage shows a wild police chase between officers and the Range Rover, with a mix of police dashcam footage and dashcam footage from some of the vehicles they roar past. The speed at which the Range Rover is going to get away from the cops is wild.

The video itself is entitled “Florida Man’s Range Rover Joyride Ends in Chaos.” That sums up the video perfectly: as the chase goes on, the police finally start to close in on the Range Rover and make things difficult for the driver, and he becomes desperate to get away.

What starts as a wild, high-speed chase ends with police cornering the Range Rover and it crashing into a boat worth $250,000. Pure carnage is the best way to describe it, and it shows how attempts by the police to pull someone over can really get out of hand.

This Police Chase Is a Wild Affair

The footage from the police dashcams is supplemented with extra dashcam footage and mobile phone footage from those who watched the chase. The Range Rover is driving at crazy fast speeds to try and avoid the cops, who are doing everything they can to stop the SUV without endangering the lives of other motorists and pedestrians.

The cops work hard to box the Range Rover in on the highway, which does take avoiding action by diving off the highway and driving on side roads and cutting through businesses and car parks. This forced the cops to slow down to avoid hitting pedestrians or parked cars, potentially offering the Range Rover driver a chance to find a way out and escape. But the cops were not going to let him get away that easily.

It appears that at some point the cops were able to deploy a stinger to puncture and destroy the front two tires. At one point, the SUV goes down a road and finds a metal gate blocking its way, so the driver has to quickly spin around and try to get back on the highway to get away from the cops. When we catch up with the Range Rover with our dashcam car, the front tires have been destroyed, and the driver is struggling to control the car.

The Police Eventually Corner the SUV

This is when the chase ends in chaos. The SUV driver tries his best to get away from the police with two front tires knocked out, but his speed is now incredibly limited. Cops swarm all over the SUV, ram into it, and try to spin it around to stop him from getting away. Yet he seems determined to make them work for it, as the Range Rover driver keeps pushing on to try to get away. Yet with more and more cop cars around him, it was never going to end well.

The Range Rover darts across the grass between the two highway lanes and simply refuses to give up. But he then launches himself over the grass and into the side of a $250,000 boat that its owners had only picked up ten minutes before the incident. This is the end of the road for the Range Rover at this point, as the car becomes wedged and the driver can’t get away from the police. We then see officers running up to the car to drag him out of the driver’s seat.
