Fancy a Cheaper Ferrari F80? Bburago Is Offering a Matte-Black Scale Model Limited to 500 Units

The Ferrari F80 is a car that is likely out of reach for most of us, thanks to an asking price starting at least around the $3 million mark. It is the true successor to the Ferrari LaFerrari and is arguably one of the most impressive performance cars of the 2020s.

However, there is a way you can get your hands on one of these at a much lower price than what Ferrari is selling them for. Well, sort of. If you want a matte black Ferrari F80, limited to just 500 units, then you can get one for a fraction of the cost of one direct from Ferrari. The catch is that these are 1:18 scale diecast models from Bburago.

Formerly based in Italy and now in Hong Kong, the company has produced all sorts of models ranging from road cars to racing cars and everything in between. While perhaps not as highly detailed as other companies, they are often very well priced and still provide a great collector’s item.

This new set is part of its new Exclusive Series, and being finished in a stealthy matte black makes the Ferrari F80 look more like an F-117 Nighthawk Stealth Fighter than a supercar.

At the time of writing, the F80 in matte black was listed and available for pre-order from the company’s website. The price is currently €99.99, which roughly converts to just over $116 at the current conversion rate. As we wrote this article, the models were still available and were not out of stock.

Bburago stated that they are coming soon, and they should land with customers later in 2026. The company states the F80 has been recreated with the “ultimate level of detail” and that this special edition is for “discerning collectors, combining iconic design, premium materials, and an exclusive presentation.” Bburago has also ensured that owning one of these models is a special experience.

The matte black livery has been beautifully applied, and it gives the F80 a truly menacing appearance. Inside, we can just make out the blue driver’s seat, adding a nice bit of contrast to the matte black. The interior as a whole has been picked out beautifully and really does pop. As with every other Bburago model, it’s made entirely of diecast metal. Each model comes with a certificate of authenticity and comes in exclusive red packaging.

Why Choose the Ferrari F80?

You only have to look at the Ferrari F80 to realize why Ferrari has chosen to replicate the car. It is an incredibly striking-looking car, with a black ribbon across the front, a very aggressive front-end, yet it has very clean lines as well. It might be a stretch to call the F80 beautiful, but the word striking definitely comes to mind when you take a look at this outrageous machine.

Under the hood is a 3.0-liter F163 CF twin-turbocharged V6 engine, derived from the Ferrari 499P Le Mans hypercar that has won the 24-hour race in 2023, 2024 and 2025. That might not sound massively exciting, but the engine itself makes 888hp. There are also three electric motors adding 296hp, so the full power output is a staggering 1,184hp.

A Very Exclusive Ferrari

The F80 also has 296hp/l, with 55.5psi of boost pressure from the turbochargers. Both these figures are stated as the highest of any production car to date. If you do want to get your hands on an F80, unsurprisingly, you will need deep pockets. A brand-new F80 costs around $3 million, and the markup can see them sell for as much as $5 million. Ferrari only plans on making 799 units, so if you do have the money for one, now is the time to act.
