At long last, Ducati has launched its Factory Made programme, giving consumers of the Bologna marque the chance to customize their own motorcycle straight from the factory.

Customizing your motorcycle is one of the most enjoyable parts of ownership. Tailoring and tinkering your machine around your riding style and personality makes the all-round experience of riding something better.

Ultimately, customising a motorcycle deepens the connection between rider and machine, making every ride feel more personal. Borgo Panigale’s newest service fills a gap that has long been missing from the brand, offering riders the ultimate opportunity to create a bike that truly looks the part.

Phase One: Europe and Multistrada Range Only

Ducati has launched its new programme for customers initially in Europe with the Multistrada V4, allowing riders to configure their motorcycle in detail at the time of ordering, with selected options installed during assembly rather than added post-purchase. This ensures consistent build quality and eliminates the need for aftermarket modifications.

The programme extends to the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak and RS models, with dedicated equipment and ergonomic options available. Ducati Factory Made is now live on Ducati’s website, enabling customers to configure their motorcycle online and forward their specification to a dealer for a quote.

What Can Be Customized?

A key highlight of the programme is its expanded range of colours and liveries. Customers can choose from traditional Icone shades, elegant style finishes, and matt sophistication options, as well as sportier performance and Ducati Corse liveries inspired by racing heritage.

The initiative also deepens Ducati’s collaboration with Automobili Lamborghini, introducing select Ad Personam colours including Viola Pasifae, Arancio Xanto, Giallo Belenus, Blu Uranus and Verde Scandal.

Beyond aesthetics, DFM offers extensive technical upgrades. Buyers can select from different wheel types, rear frame and brake caliper colours, as well as seat height and suspension configurations for both rider and passenger. Existing Touring, Adventure, Sport, Tech and Enduro packages can also be combined to tailor the bike’s character.

Ducati Boss Speaks Out

Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali explained that the project has been a long-term focus for the company, adding that the brand intends to expand personalisation in the future, promising that “more and more options will be available.”

“For now, Ducati Factory Made will be available only in Europe, but it already represents an important step toward an increasingly personal and exclusive Ducati experience,” shared Domenicali on LinkedIn.

“Reaching this level of customization is something we have been working toward for a long time, and I am truly proud that we can now offer it to our passionate Ducatisti.

“With Ducati Factory Made, Ducati enters into a new era of personalization, and this is just the beginning. In the future, more and more options will be available, so I invite all our fans to follow us on our website and social channels to stay updated on what could be possible in the future, delivering directly from our factory, with the best level of quality and precision: the exact Ducati of their dreams.”

There is no timeline for when Ducati will expand customization to its other models.
