No supercar manufacturer wants to have information leaked. In fact, it is the last thing they want. However, Lamborghini has suffered that fate after the Revuelto Miura Edition, a car we weren’t meant to see for a short while, was leaked ahead of its official launch, as reported by The Supercar Blog.
Reports on the new car first began to emerge in April 2026. Lamborghini has been looking to pay tribute to the Miura in its 60th anniversary year. It is, of course, the car that many hail as the world’s first supercar, and it is one of the most important in Lamborghini’s history.
This isn’t the first time that Lamborghini has paid tribute to the Miura with a special model. For the 50th anniversary of the car, Lamborghini released the Aventador Miura Edition, and some of the ideas from that car have been carried over to this new Revuelto.
Incredibly, this isn’t the first time Lamborghini has suffered a leak in 2026 either. The Urus Performante SE was also leaked earlier in 2026; however, this was just a few hours before its official reveal. In the case of this Miura tribute, the actual car wasn’t due to break cover until August.
How the Revuelto Miura Edition Pays Tribute to the Original Supercar
The new Revuelto special edition follows the philosophy of the Aventador Miura Edition that was revealed ten years ago. It features a two-tone color scheme, with the leaked images showing a black car with gold skid skirts, and gold also on the front bumper lip and the matching wheels.
In the leaked images, we can also see a new Miura 60 badge, further paying tribute to the original supercar. The Aventador Miura, meanwhile, was presented in a stunning red with similar gold accents and trimming as seen on this latest special edition. The images were leaked by Lamborghini Club Russia, who also had some further details on the car.
According to Lamborghini Club Russia, the car will be limited to just 99 production units. Previously, it had been suggested it would be limited to 60 units for the 60th anniversary year of the Miura. At the time of writing, it looks like Lamborghini has changed its mind on that one. Under the hood, the recipe has stayed the same. The Revuelto will still have the same 6.5-liter V12 engine with additional hybrid power from three electric motors. The V12 itself makes 813hp, and with the electric motors, there is a combined 1,001hp.
How Much Will the Special Edition Cost?
Frustratingly, while the car itself has leaked, no additional details have done so. Therefore, we don’t know the price of the special edition, or what other extras it might have. However, the official reveal is due for August, although Lamborghini might bring that forward now the car has been leaked. So customers won’t have to wait too much longer to find out what else the special edition will have.
The Miura, of course, is widely considered to be the world’s first supercar. It made its debut in 1966, and it remained in production until 1973. At the time, it was the world’s fastest production car, and it was the car that started the trend of rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive performance cars. The original Miura took its power from a 3.9-liter L406 V12 engine, with early versions of the supercar producing 345hp and 262lb-ft of torque. Later on, the P400S increased power to 365hp and the P400SV would increase power to 380hp.
