American-made luxury sedans aren’t exactly the most common vehicles on the road, but they are still present, and one of the coolest ever made is the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing. This is a car that has just been retired by Cadillac after many years in the lineup.
Many have already begun to lament the loss of the CT4-V, given how much of a dying breed truly American luxury cars are. But of course, they will still be available on the second-hand market.
Yet with the car being withdrawn from sale, that could see values of this all-American machine begin to go up and up as time passes. So that means if you are looking at investing in a CT4-V Blackwing anytime soon, it might be a good idea to do that now, and not later.
Demand for the car could very soon outweigh the supply, helping drive up that price. And as it looks like it will become a modern classic, values could rise up even more as time goes on.
Why Will Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Values Shoot Up?

Confirmation of the CT4-V Blackwing’s retirement came in a letter from Cadillac VP John Roth to CadillacVClub, confirming it and the CT5 would leave production after 2026. The difference is that the CT5 and CT5-V Blackwing will get a next-generation model, while it appears the CT4 is not getting the same treatment.
At the time of writing, there are still a few new CT4-V Blackwings up for sale across the United States, all for less than $100,000. The cheapest of those is in Massachusetts, and that is a 2025 Blackwing at $66,865, with the most expensive being a 2025 Blackwing for sale at $92,860 in Colorado.
However, once those are gone, demand will massively outweigh the supply, leaving potential owners scrambling to see if they can get their hands on the cars at all. That could lead to a lot of FOMO for those already wondering if they should buy one of the cars.
Combine that with its status as one of the last all-American luxury sedans, and the CT4-V Blackwing becomes an even more lucrative proposition for those selling via the second-hand market. Currently, Classic.com lists the average value of a CT4-V Blackwing at $57,040, but that could be set to rise very quickly.
This Is Why Cadillac Has Dropped the CT4 and CT4-V Blackwing

Enthusiasts will have been surprised to see Cadillac drop the CT5 and CT4, but announce that there will be a next-gen launch for the CT5, complete with combustion power.
But with the CT4 and CT4-V Blackwing, the end of 2026 will mark the end of the line for the model as the American company begins to shift some of its focus elsewhere. The company is looking to shift more resources towards electrification, even if some companies aren’t so sure if EVs and even hybrids are the way forward for the industry.
However, Cadillac appears to be a strong believer in electrification and efficiency, potentially boosted by its debut in Formula 1 at the start of the 2026 season, albeit with a Ferrari powertrain. Falling sales haven’t helped matters, as according to GoodCarBadCar, CT4 sales fell to 4,616 units in 2025, down from 6,208 in 2024, which the company clearly doesn’t see as viable.
Come 2027, if you want to buy a CT4 or the CT4-V Blackwing, then the second-hand market will be the only place to get your hands on one. So anyone who does want one will have to act very fast in order to get one for a reasonable price.
Cadillac CT4-V Blackwings Are Currently Well Priced

Another look at Classic.com reveals that prices, at the time of writing, are quite stable for the American luxury sedans, with very few exceeding the $60,000 mark. A 2022 CT4, for instance, is currently listed for just $32,445, with only 83km on the clock, and in virtually brand-new condition, making this a real bargain. A 2024 CT4-V Blackwing, meanwhile, is listed for just $56,918, so on the face of it, there appear to be some good deals to be had, at least while the car is still in production.
One thing to be wary of is cars with branded titles, which are those that have been through the wringer, meaning an insurance company may have written one off as a total loss. Those are the ones to steer clear of, but for the most part, it looks like what is for sale is in good working order. Before demand for the CT4-V Blackwing begins to outweigh supply, this may be the time to get those offers in.
