A video has been going viral across social media, showing a TikTok creator attempting to earn $100 using Walmart’s Spark Driver delivery app. TikTok user Joel (@joelhustle) showed his attempt to do so on his account as he took on a variety of delivery jobs.
The Spark Driver app allows you to deliver for Walmart and other businesses with your own delivery schedule. According to the App Store listing for the app, all you need is a car, a smartphone, and insurance. After background checks and the enrollment process, you will be notified whether your local zone has delivery availability.
TikTok user Joel wanted to see how much money he could earn by doing deliveries on the app. He set himself the goal of trying to earn $100 to see how long it would take to earn that amount of money.
The video showed that it wasn’t an easy task. Joel had to deal with a few different situations, such as an out-of-stock substitution and a canceled order. But the biggest challenge arose when he got a phone call about his daughter, with his wife saying she may have broken her arm.
How Joel Attempted to Earn $100 for His Deliveries

At the start of the video, it takes Joel a few attempts to get the money that he wanted. At the start of the video, he rejected a few delivery driver offers, but he accepted one that paid out $28.11 for a 25-item order. The TikTok user wanted to track the deliveries until he surpassed the $100 mark.
One of the offers he declined was $21.99 for a 26.5-mile delivery, and there was then another 10-stop order for $46.93 that he decided to decline. One offer of a $19.51 delivery was initially rejected, but he then accepted it before it was cancelled after he reached Walmart. The $28.11 order wasn’t one Joel meant to accept, but he decided to go through with it anyway.
Annoyingly, when he got to Walmart, he found that the brand of water that the customer had requested was out of stock. However, the substitution order was rejected, and the store was also out of the iceberg lettuce that the customer had requested. A few more items had to be marked as unavailable before Joel could head off with the order.
Joel’s Challenge Was Interrupted by a Call From His Wife
Joel kept going, hoping to rack up the $100 as quickly as he could. However, the video ended early before Joel could actually complete the challenge. He had a phone call from his wife, and she said that their daughter may have broken her arm. Family, of course, takes priority, so Joel decided to end the challenge. He failed to reach the $100, but he couldn’t leave his daughter hurt for the sake of a quick TikTok video.
The video did lead to a bit of confusion among some viewers. One said, “I stopped using the 3-hour or less option because Spark drivers can’t find most items (aren’t on shelves) while the Walmart employees have access to the back rooms.” Another wondered how batched orders work and said it must be hard to keep the orders separate. It does look like you can earn $100 a day doing these Aprk delivery orders, but item availability and the length of the delivery can certainly make it a challenge.
