A school bus veered off a Brooklyn roadway Thursday morning, crossed an intersection and slammed into the entrance of an apartment building with enough force to shake residents inside.
Surveillance video captured the bus traveling along Eastern Parkway before leaving the roadway near Albany Avenue, crossing the service road and shooting toward the building shortly after 7:20 a.m.
No students were aboard. The 65-year-old driver, the only person on the bus, suffered minor injuries, according to ABC7 New York.
The cause of the crash remained unknown Thursday afternoon.

The surveillance footage shows the yellow bus speeding through the intersection, then climbing the curb and heading toward the building.
The bus narrowly passes between two poles before crashing through the front entrance.
Witness Isaac Hager told CBS New York he was standing near the corner and moved out of the way as the bus approached. He initially thought it might hit one of the poles before realizing it was headed directly toward the building.
The crash shattered glass and damaged the entrance. ABC7 reported that a witness also saw the bus knock down a tree before reaching the building.
Residents described feeling the impact from inside.
Maiya-Ge told ABC7 she initially thought there had been an earthquake before looking outside and seeing the bus lodged in the building.
Coming Back Out
The building was evacuated while FDNY personnel assessed its stability.
Hours later, crews removed the bus. CBS reported that part of the building came down with it, sending pieces of the facade and a balcony to the ground.
The New York City Department of Buildings subsequently issued a partial vacate order affecting several units, according to ABC7.
The American Red Cross registered 20 adults and six children for emergency relocation assistance. The building owner was also ordered to install a tight board fence around the damaged portion of the property to protect the public.
The driver was questioned after the crash before being released, ABC7 reported.
No students were aboard the bus, and no serious injuries were reported. Officials had not announced what caused the driver to leave the roadway.
