Dashcam footage can show off some truly wild motoring moments. It can capture the worst and best of people’s driving, but it is usually the worst that gets the most attention. The r/dashcams subreddit on Reddit is usually the place to be for this footage.

Footage uploaded recently by user syncnap has captured some of the silliest driving you will probably see today. In the footage, we see an Audi sports car suddenly shoot across the front of the dashcam car that we are riding on board with. And its driver isn’t exactly behaving.

The driver shoots across the front of our car and then starts weaving around for no reason. It is almost as if they are trying to put heat into their tires, as a racing driver would. Except in this case, it is annoying and frustrating to watch.

Yet it seems karma comes back to bite this driver, as a Jeep appears behind him, and the SUV driver doesn’t seem happy with the Audi’s driving. At the time of writing, the video has over 400 comments and 17,000 upvotes and has been shared over 200 times.

What Happens in the Dashcam Footage?

In the footage, our car is driving along as normal when the Audi just cuts across in front of us, going from right to left. It shoots into the left-hand lane, and for some odd reason it then begins to weave left and right, as if to antagonize the drivers behind. It’s strange behaviour, and it’s not clear why they were doing it.

The video is entitled “This is the definition of playing stupid games to win stupid prizes,” and it soon becomes clear why that is the video title. As the Audi continues to weave, a Jeep appears behind it from the left and clearly has no intention of slowing down. The Audi is simply in the way and is blocking their path. So it won’t come as a surprise to see what happens next.

In short, the Jeep nudges into the left-hand corner of the Audi, pushing it straight out of the way and leaving visible marks on the back of the white sports car. The Audi driver suddenly stops weaving and ends up back in the right-hand lane. While it looks like there has been some damage caused, the Jeep doesn’t stick around to find out. It duly carries on with its journey, probably leaving the Audi driver shouting a few expletives. But you can’t blame the driver of the SUV for getting annoyed at the sports car.

What Did Reddit Users Think of the Situation?

Reddit users were quick to take aim at the Audi in the video. “As if some dumbass kid with a financed Audi who drives this way didn’t already have high enough insurance premiums before this,” said the top comment. “Paid by Daddy,” said another comment further down on the post.

“You know those tiny dogs that bark like crazy at a bigger dog but pipe down as soon as you open the gate? Yeah…” said another one.

In short, nobody seemed to have sympathy with the driver of the Audi. Why they were weaving around isn’t known, and they either thought they were being clever or were trying to annoy the drivers of the cars behind them. In the end, it meant they got a nice nudge from the big SUV, which promptly seemed to put them in their place.
