Brabus Turns The Mercedes-AMG G63 Into A Truck… With 900 HP

The Mercedes-AMG G63 is already one of the most extravagant SUVs money can buy, but Brabus has once again decided to turn everything up to 11. The German tuning specialist has transformed the luxury off-roader into a high-performance pickup truck packing a staggering 900 horsepower.

Called the Brabus P 900 Rocket Edition, the new creation is based on the latest W465-generation G63. It combines an extended chassis, a custom-built cargo bed, and an extensively modified twin-turbocharged V8.

This isn’t Brabus’s first attempt at turning a G-Class into a pickup, but the latest Rocket Edition takes the formula to another level. Alongside its unusual bodywork, it features an aggressive carbon-fiber widebody kit and enormous 24-inch wheels.

Exclusivity is also part of the appeal, with production limited to just 10 units worldwide. Brabus hasn’t disclosed pricing in its announcement, although this level of customization certainly won’t come cheap.

Creating the P 900 required extending the G63’s ladder-frame chassis and wheelbase by 19.7 inches. Brabus also relocated the rear suspension and installed a new bulkhead behind the passenger compartment.

The resulting cargo bed features metal flooring, carbon-fiber side panels, teak-style decking, and two lockable waterproof storage compartments. A side-opening tailgate completes the conversion.

The truck also receives widened carbon-fiber fenders, an illuminated grille, distinctive red accents, and 24-inch Monoblock II EVO wheels. Its adjustable suspension sits roughly 1.8 inches lower than the standard G63, emphasizing road performance rather than serious off-roading.

Under the hood, Brabus has enlarged the G63’s twin-turbo V8 from 4.0 to approximately 4.4 liters (4,407 cm³), but markets it as a 4.5-liter engine. Upgrades include forged pistons, a custom crankshaft, and larger turbochargers.

The result is 900 horsepower and a peak output of 922 lb-ft of torque, although torque is electronically restricted to 774 lb-ft to protect the drivetrain. Power reaches all four wheels through a nine-speed automatic transmission.

Brabus claims the pickup accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.7 seconds, and its electronically limited top speed is 149 mph, impressive achievements for a pickup of this size.

The cabin features black leather, Alcantara, red stitching, and extensive carbon-fiber trim. Brabus also adds illuminated entry sills, custom paddle shifters, and rear doors that open to 90 degrees for easier access.

Each truck comes with a matching handcrafted travel bag and a digital certificate of authenticity. With only 10 examples planned, the P 900 Rocket Edition is clearly aimed at collectors who want something even rarer than a conventional AMG G63.

Practicality probably isn’t the main reason anyone will buy one, but a 900-horsepower G-Wagen with a pickup bed is certainly difficult to ignore.
