Ford Ranger MS-RT Champion Edition Looks Stunning… But You Can’t Have One

Ford has given its Ranger pickup another motorsport-inspired makeover, and the result is one of the most striking versions of the truck yet. Called the Ranger MS-RT Champion Edition, this special model combines an aggressive street-truck appearance with distinctive black-and-gold detailing.

Developed through Ford’s collaboration with M-Sport Road Technology, the Champion Edition celebrates the company’s long-standing connection to rally racing. It builds on the already sporty Ranger MS-RT, adding several exclusive styling touches inspired by Ford’s performance heritage.

Unlike the off-road-focused Ranger Raptor, this pickup takes a different approach to performance-inspired design. Its lowered suspension, wide bodywork, and oversized alloy wheels give it a particularly imposing road presence.

Unfortunately for American enthusiasts, there’s a catch. The Ranger MS-RT Champion Edition is intended for European markets, with no announced plans to bring it to the United States.

Every Champion Edition comes finished in Agate Black with matte-black racing stripes outlined in gold. Matching 21-inch gold diamond-cut alloy wheels complement the widened fenders, sculpted side skirts, aggressive bumpers, and rear diffuser.

The truck also features cab and ducktail spoilers inspired by legendary Ford performance models, such as the Sierra RS500 and Escort Cosworth. It’s a distinctive combination that gives the Ranger a muscular, road-focused appearance.

Inside, gold stitching decorates the heated, heavily bolstered sports seats, steering wheel, and other trim pieces. The cabin also receives eco-leather and suede upholstery, a rally-inspired steering wheel marker, and a special Champion Edition plaque.

Standard equipment includes a 12-inch SYNC 4 touchscreen, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, and various driver-assistance features. Ford also includes 360-degree Zone Lighting to illuminate the area surrounding the pickup.

Lowered Suspension, Familiar Engines

Underneath its aggressive bodywork, the Champion Edition keeps the regular MS-RT’s suspension setup. That means a 40-mm (1.6-inch) lower ride height, firmer front dampers, and retuned rear suspension designed to improve road handling.

Buyers can choose between a 3.0-liter EcoBlue turbodiesel V6 producing 240 horsepower and a 2.3-liter plug-in hybrid powertrain delivering 281 horsepower. Both use a 10-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive.

Despite its sportier stance, the truck still has a maximum braked towing capacity of 3,500 kg (7,716 pounds) and payload capability of up to approximately 1,000 kg (2,205 pounds).

Europe Gets All The Fun

The Ranger MS-RT Champion Edition is offered exclusively as a four-door double cab, with each example hand-finished by MS-RT in the United Kingdom. Orders are already open, with deliveries scheduled to begin in spring 2027.

Ford hasn’t revealed pricing, although the exclusive styling and equipment will likely command a premium over the standard MS-RT. American enthusiasts will have to admire this black-and-gold Ranger from afar, although they can at least console themselves with the Maverick Lobo, which isn’t available in Europe.
