Dashcam footage can sometimes be absolutely wild. People can capture utterly outrageous moments, often showing off the very worst of human behavior, and the r/dashcams subreddit on Reddit is one place where this footage comes to light.
A day doesn’t go by without some outrageous video being posted on the subreddit. Such as this one from a few days ago, which has nearly 4,000 upvotes at the time of writing. It is entitled “Woman Goes Psychotic After Being Honked At,” and that probably says all you need to know.
The footage was posted by user Flashmemory256, who also said they managed to get some information from the dashcam owner about the incident. It did indeed show a woman go crazy after she was honked at by the dashcam car, and she went so far as to ram the dashcam vehicle.
In fact, the woman in question got so riled up that she rammed into the dashcam car, then got out and ran after them. But while it might look like the horn honk was unprovoked, it turned out there was a good reason for this woman to be honked at.

The footage begins with the woman roaring past the dashcam car, which appeared to be coming to a stop. The driver honks at her as she roars away, then the footage is sped up, taking us farther down the road. It would appear that the woman had pulled off somewhere and was then waiting for the dashcam car to reappear. Already, that gives off strange vibes.
She then appears from behind us, seemingly out of nowhere, and rams into the side of the car and blocks us from going forward. The driver, not wishing to confront her, decided to put their car into reverse, but at that point the lady got out of her car and started running after them. The camera zooms in on her, and she appears quite determined to chase after the car.
As our car sped up, there was no way she was going to catch it. So she decided to give up, but no, before she pointed and jibed at us. The video then ends, and it turns out she really was that angry about being honked at. But, as the poster of the video revealed on Reddit, there was a very valid reason that this woman was honked at by the car behind her.
This Is Why the Woman Was Honked At
It turned out that the woman in question had run a stop sign just before the footage started. “All this was over a honk after she ran a stop sign and they had no prior interaction, according to the dashcam owner,” said the poster of the video, user Flashmemory256.
So she had done something wrong and had been honked at for doing so. Incredibly, it was she who overreacted in this situation, whereas the driver of the dashcam car was simply happy to let her go before she came back to stalk them.
