A high school graduate has taken to TikTok to say that a gifted Porsche Cayenne SUV for her graduation turned into a two-year nightmare. Casandra (@casandraa.oo) shared an extensive timeline of what happened to her car after it had gone in for an oil change.
Cassandra shared the ordeal in a TikTok video, which started with her graduating from high school in May 2024. As a gift for doing so, her parents bought her a Porsche Cayenne in August that year, which is certainly an excellent way of celebrating your graduation.
After this, she drove it until December before she took the Porsche SUV in for an oil change. It was here that the problems began almost immediately, and after a problem was detected, it didn’t help her mood when the garage said that they couldn’t help her with the issue.
Eventually, this problem was sorted. So it appeared Cassandra could just get on and drive her car as normal. Sadly, that wasn’t the case, and the Cayenne soon began to throw up more issues over the next two years. The frustration became so high that Cassandra eventually filed a claim to get it resolved once and for all.
What Was Going Wrong With Cassandra’s Porsche Cayenne?

Cassandra said that after taking the Porsche for an oil change, the dashboard suddenly started displaying an “oil pressure low” warning. After contacting the shop where she’d had the change done, she was told by the employees that they had no idea how to reset the warning. Things got worse the next day, with the Porsche struggling to start and the car making an unnerving rattling noise.
Cassandra and her brother then got in touch with the workshop she’d had the work done in. They determined the engine had failed after looking at camera footage. “They looked at their camera footage, and they saw they didn’t put my oil filter on correctly,” said Cassandra in her TikTok. This ultimately led to the engine losing all of its oil, with the SUV then being towed to a repair facility the next day.
In January 2025, Cassandra got the car back. The repaired Cayenne also had a six-month guarantee, and for the next few months, it seemed like everything was okay. Sadly, in April 2025, the car developed more engine issues, with the SUV being towed back to the same repair shop before it came back home to Cassandra later that month. Yet Cassandra said it did so “without proper repair,” as the garage told her nothing was wrong.
Cassandra Was Very Frustrated by the Ordeal
In July, the car’s overheating problem had returned. It then broke down again, and she had to go back to the same repair shop and was towed at her own expense. It then took nearly a year for her to get the car back, even after repeatedly calling the shop for updates. The original oil change shop had washed its hands of the Porsche, saying they had nothing to do with all the faults it had suddenly developed.
After not getting any updates on the car and getting a “standoffish” response from the garage, Cassandra decided to file a claim. Even though she got the Porsche back in July 2026, she found even more issues with a strong smell of gasoline and a huge puddle of gas underneath the SUV. “I have screenshots of every single event and the date it all happened, and I have receipts of when I sent the certified mail,” she says. “I have my car now, and it seems to be driving now … but I’m literally paranoid,” she added, rounding off the experience.
What Next for Cassandra and Her Cayenne?
With the frustration boiling over, Cassandra has a court date scheduled for August 2026 to resolve the matter. Some commentators on the video said she should have taken the car to a dealership or a European-car specialist. However, it still seems unreal that an oil change shop caused all this trouble with her car. Oil changes are some of the most basic maintenance regimes that anyone can undertake. Hopefully Cassandra’s Porsche is now reliable, and that her court hearing gets some of her expenses back.
