Newly released police bodycam footage has shed fresh light on a frightening high-speed crash involving former wrestling executive Vince McMahon, revealing the tense roadside conversation that unfolded after the 80-year-old drove his luxury car at more than 100 mph before slamming into another vehicle.
The incident happened in July 2025 on Route 15 in Westport, Connecticut, but the dramatic footage only surfaced recently.
The video begins moments after the crash, when a Connecticut State Trooper approaches McMahon’s damaged Bentley Continental GT Speed, which had just collided with a BMW and a guardrail after a burst of extreme speed.

The exchange seems strangely calm for such a serious accident. The trooper checks on McMahon’s condition and asks a simple question.
“Do you need an ambulance?” the officer asks.
“No, I don’t,” McMahon replies.
But as the conversation continues, the gravity of what just happened gets clearer.
“Why Were You Driving Over 100 MPH?”
The trooper quickly points out the alarming speed he had just recorded.
According to the officer, McMahon had been traveling well over 100 mph while the trooper attempted to catch up behind him with lights activated. At one point, the speed reached roughly 115 mph.

“Why were you driving all over 100 miles an hour?” the officer asks in the footage.
McMahon’s answer is as surprising as the speed itself. He tells the trooper he was trying to reach the next highway exit because he was on his way to celebrate his granddaughter’s birthday.
“My granddaughter’s birthday. I got to get to the next exit,” he explains.
The officer remains skeptical but measured. He notes that from his perspective the situation was confusing. It did not appear McMahon was deliberately fleeing police. Instead, it looked like the driver simply continued accelerating while the patrol vehicle struggled to catch up.
“I’m trying to catch up to you, and you keep taking off,” the trooper says.
McMahon insists he never intended to run.
“Oh no, no, no. I’m not trying to outrun you,” he replies.
The Moment of Impact

Investigators say the crash occurred when McMahon, traveling at high speed, failed to react in time to traffic ahead. He rear-ended a BMW driven by financial executive Barbara Doran before striking a guardrail. Debris scattered across the roadway as the Bentley sustained major damage.
The deployed side airbags were visible from the video.
During the bodycam interaction, the trooper questions how the collision could have happened.
“The person was right in front of you,” the officer says. “There’s got to be a reason you hit him.”

McMahon denies using his phone or being distracted. Instead, he offers another explanation. He says he had not driven the car in quite some time and underestimated its power.
“I haven’t been driving my car in God knows how long,” he says.
Moments later, he appears frustrated with himself.
“Stupid fool,” McMahon mutters under his breath.
Then he acknowledges what the trooper had already seen.
“It’s fast, I’ll tell you that.”
The officer replies bluntly.
“Yeah. Too fast.”
No Serious Injuries, But Legal Consequences

Despite the terrifying speed and heavy damage, the crash could have been far worse. Authorities confirmed that no one suffered life-threatening injuries in the collision.
The driver of the BMW later described the crash as a frightening experience but said she was fortunate to walk away.
McMahon was subsequently charged with reckless driving and following too closely. However, the case took an unusual turn months later.
Court records show he entered a pretrial diversion program in October 2025. Under the agreement, he must complete specific conditions including making a $1,000 charitable donation and maintaining proper licensing and insurance.
If those requirements are satisfied, the charges will ultimately be dismissed.
A Viral Moment
With the bodycam footage now circulating online, the crash has reignited conversations about speed, high-performance cars, and driver responsibility.
The clip shows a rare moment where a high-speed accident ends without tragedy but still offers a stark reminder. Even experienced drivers can be caught off guard by the power of modern performance vehicles. And McMahon’s choice of words — it’s fast — means just that. It’s the car that’s fast, not really the driver.
In this case, the trooper’s final remark may sum it up best.
Too fast.
