The power of the internet and social media is incredibly strong, especially now in 2026. Now, it’s completely possible to bypass companies and go straight to the internet whenever you have a problem that couldn’t be solved internally, regardless of how big or small it is.

A couple took to TikTok to share their experience at a local Nissan dealership, and to say the least, it’s pretty appalling. According to the two, the general manager of this dealership didn’t like that the couple had left a negative review of his business.

Instead of taking it as a learning moment about what he and his staff likely did to upset this couple, he decided to get back at them and leave a bad review on their business’s page. However, unlike a dealership, the couple’s business doesn’t have various employees and thousands of reviews.

So, this just leaves the couple shocked about what to do, as their business is their livelihood. According to the comments, the Nissan dealership turned off their comments so no one can reply to their videos after posting a few things that implied they truly were in the wrong before deleting them.

The Mechanical Issue Was Only the Beginning

The video is a very simple one with the two talking directly to the camera and describing their experience at the Nissan dealership. This specific issue targets the general manager, Blake, and his behavior towards the couple.

According to the man in the video, he had gone to the dealership to have a mechanical issue repaired after purchasing a vehicle from them. Instead of leaving with the issue solved, he had to pay for damages out of their own pocket. This is the reason why he left the bad review.

However, Blake didn’t seem happy about that, and he apparently retaliated. After discovering what had happened, he went to the dealership to confront them and ran into Blake himself. That’s when Blake allegedly told him, “If you thought those bad reviews were a lot, you have a lot more coming.”

The man in the video immediately stated that this was likely not what was said word for word, but was what let him know who was leaving bad reviews on their company. He said that now, it was officially personal.

Viewers Say There’s a Big Difference Between Customer Reviews and Retaliation

Many commenters felt there was a major difference between a customer leaving a review about their experience and a dealership or its employees leaving negative reviews on someone else’s business. As one commenter put it, “You were really his customer… He was not your customer. Therefore, he did that to defame your company.”

Others criticized the dealership’s social media response, claiming it only made the situation worse. Several pointed to a now-discussed video in which employees were laughing at the controversy, while others noticed the dealership had disabled comments on its posts, interpreting it as a sign the backlash had grown too large to manage.

Even people who said they work in dealerships or service departments weighed in, noting that customer complaints aren’t unusual but arguing this situation crossed a line if the allegations are accurate.
