A television reporter was warning viewers about dangerous road conditions in Monterrey, Mexico, when those conditions suddenly sent an SUV spinning directly toward her crew.
Gamavisión reporter Alma de la Rosa Flores and cameraman Cristo Morales were broadcasting live the morning of Oct. 2 from Avenida Morones Prieto, where heavy rain had caused a landslide near the Nuevo Repueblo neighborhood. Gamavisión reported that both journalists were injured when an SUV lost control and struck them.
The collision was captured by the camera Morales was operating. Video of the moment was later shared by CBS Evening News, showing the vehicle sliding across the wet roadway as Flores stood beside the highway.
Neither journalist was seriously injured. Both were treated at the scene before being taken to a hospital, where their conditions were reported as stable.

Flores had been reporting on the consequences of the previous night’s rain, including a landslide that brought a tree and other debris into the area.
El Financiero reported that the crew was also discussing an earlier motorcycle crash associated with debris from the landslide.
During the live shot, an SUV traveling along Morones Prieto began sliding on the wet pavement.
The vehicle spun toward the roadside and into the television crew. The camera jolted violently at impact before the live feed cut away.
Both Hospitalized
Mexican Red Cross paramedics and Monterrey Civil Protection personnel treated Flores and Morales at the scene before taking them to a private hospital, according to Gamavisión.
Early reports raised concern that Morales may have suffered fractures, while Flores had multiple blows but apparently no broken bones. A later update from Gamavisión director Mario Gámez said medical examinations ruled out a suspected ankle fracture for Morales and that both journalists were out of danger.
The crash briefly disrupted traffic on Morones Prieto while crews removed the SUV and local traffic personnel handled the scene.
The incident came during a day of widespread weather problems across Nuevo León following heavy rain that began Oct. 1, with flooding, standing water and landslides reported across several municipalities.
