If you thought Richard Rawlings only cared about American muscle cars and hot rods, a recent garage tour might change your mind. The Fast N’ Loud star has everything from classic Fords to Ferraris, including two Testarossas that are anything but ordinary.
The Petersen Automotive Museum recently visited Gas Monkey Garage in Dallas for an episode of its Open Garage YouTube series. Rawlings gave viewers a look at his eclectic collection while sharing the stories behind some of his favorite vehicles.
Among the highlights are a six-wheeled Ferrari Testarossa, an electric Testarossa conversion, and a replica of the Mustang from The Thomas Crown Affair. There’s also a remarkably low-mileage 1968 Mustang and a street-legal two-person dragster.
Interestingly, not everything in Rawlings’ garage is destined to stay there forever. He explains that some vehicles are personal favorites, while others are inventory that could eventually be sold.
Two Ferrari Testarossas Unlike Any Others

Perhaps the wildest project is a genuine Ferrari Testarossa being transformed into a six-wheeled machine. Rawlings says the build features a supercharged LT4 V8 producing approximately 1,000 horsepower, with both rear axles driven.
The project originally involved collaborators in France, but Gas Monkey brought it in-house after Rawlings became dissatisfied with the results. The team is now finishing the car with custom suspension, Wilwood brakes, and an extensively redesigned interior.
Another genuine Testarossa has undergone an equally dramatic transformation, losing its roof and original drivetrain. It now features electric propulsion and a centrally positioned driver’s seat, although Rawlings says further work is needed before it returns to the road.
From Rare Mustangs To Personal Ferraris

Rawlings also shows off a 1968 Ford Mustang with just 1,036 miles, which he describes as the lowest-mileage documented example in the world. According to Rawlings, the six-cylinder car retains its original tires and comes with extensive documentation.
His personal collection includes a black 2009 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, purchased around 2013, and a recently acquired Ferrari 812 GTS. Rawlings says both front-engined V12 Ferraris are keepers rather than dealership inventory.
Another sentimental favorite is a replica of the 1968 Mustang featured in the 1999 film The Thomas Crown Affair. Rawlings originally built it for a customer in 2007, who later gave him the car.
A Garage Full Of Automotive Oddities

Elsewhere, the collection includes a largely original 1939 Lincoln Zephyr, a custom 1977 pirate-themed van, and several traditional hot rods. There’s even a two-seat dragster that Rawlings says is registered and insured for Texas roads.
The tour also offers a glimpse into his personal history, including memories of filming with Burt Reynolds and growing up around Dallas’ hot rod scene. Rawlings proudly displays a hat Reynolds gave him, describing it as one of his most treasured possessions.
With everything from vintage Fords to heavily modified Ferraris, it’s difficult to imagine a more varied garage. Rawlings clearly isn’t interested in limiting himself to one particular type of car.
