A video circulating on X shows a man attempting to repair the pothole by pouring what appears to be a bag of dry concrete mix directly into it. The unusual DIY road repair quickly attracted attention online, with viewers debating whether the simple solution was surprisingly clever or destined to fall apart.
According to the woman filming the repair, the pothole had become enough of a problem that her mother no longer wanted to drive to her house. Apparently concerned about damaging her car, Mom had delivered an ultimatum: Fix the pothole or don’t expect any more visits.
The woman was clearly delighted to finally have a solution. As the man leveled the concrete mix inside the hole, she celebrated the repair and announced that her mother could finally come back.

The video, which was reshared by the Clown World account on X, shows the man standing beside the road with a bag of concrete mix. Instead of preparing the material separately, he pours the dry contents directly into the pothole.
“Thank God I found help to go ahead and fix this pothole in front of my house,” the woman says while recording the process. She then explains exactly why getting the road repaired had become so important.
According to her, her mother had refused to return until something was done about it. “If you don’t fix that, I ain’t coming to your house,” the woman recalls her mother saying, adding that she didn’t want to risk damaging her car.
With the concrete now filling the hole, the woman enthusiastically declares the problem solved. “It’s fixed, Ma! You can finally come back,” she says.
The Internet Isn’t Convinced The Repair Will Last
While the woman seemed satisfied, people watching the video weren’t entirely convinced that dumping a bag of concrete into a pothole was the best approach to road maintenance. The post’s caption joked that the man had seemingly skipped every step and simply emptied the bag straight into the hole.
Some commenters argued that the technique could resemble a “dry pour,” where dry concrete mix is placed before water is introduced. Products such as fast-setting concrete mixes can be used without traditional premixing for certain applications, although repairing a roadway presents different challenges from setting a fence post.
