I won’t admit to being the biggest fan of raccoons, though I can acknowledge that they are actually pretty cute. They’re also incredibly smart.
However, I didn’t think that they were smart enough to try to figure out how to smoke a meth pipe. I wouldn’t have believed it either if it wasn’t for the fact that the police officer who witnessed the event caught it all on his body camera.
Of course, the raccoon was accompanied by a couple of people (and a dog) who provided the animal with the pipe. Could you imagine if it actually belonged to the raccoon?
While the incident is undoubtedly funny, it is also a reminder that incidents like this can truly happen in places where you least expect them. Fortunately, it doesn’t appear that anyone was injured as a result of the wild animal’s involvement.
Officer Bursts Into Laughter After Spotting the Raccoon’s Surprise

The short clip above was reposted to Facebook by REELZ, and is from the perspective of an Ohio police officer’s body camera. He appears to have asked a woman in a red vehicle to step out of the car for an unknown reason.
However, immediately after she did, the officer noticed that the passenger was holding a raccoon. The officers took the necessary precautions before proceeding with the investigation.
However, at one point, they couldn’t hold in their laughter after seeing the raccoon carrying a glass pipe meant for smoking drugs. Interestingly, the officer already had a few pipes in his hands, suggesting the raccoon likely knew where they were all hidden in the car.
Commenters Joke the Raccoon Was the Real Suspect
Commenters just couldn’t get enough of the entire situation, with the very top comment reading, “lol so who got charged the raccoon or her? Technically, the raccoon had it.” Similarly, another user wrote, “Raccoon like we’re my lighter got a rock need melting.”
Others were more focused on the officer’s reaction to the whole situation. One commenter wrote, “I can listen to this cop laugh all day and all night…” Another commenter wrote, “Canna stop laughing the cop laughing is cracking me up 👮😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 Brilliant 👮😂😂🤣🤣💙🏴.”
The clip ends without much information concerning the names of the drivers or what ended up happening to the raccoon. However, I can assume that it’s in a much better environment than the one the officer found it in.
