A man was having his Porsche 981 inspected by a mechanic when he was suddenly sent a video that no driver wants to get. Not only was there previous work done on the car that wasn’t on Carfax, but there’s more.
When the camera goes under the hood, the tech explains that whoever worked on it last thought the best possible material to use for rebuilding the front end would be wood. You read that correctly.
While the video is definitely funny, it’s also a reminder to check in on the things anyone does to your car. You never know when someone might stick a 2×4 in there.

In the video above, you can see the mechanic pointing his camera towards a black Porsche 981. The text written on the video itself reads, “Technician sent me this, am I cooked?”
The mechanic can then be heard saying, “First things first, I noticed that this vehicle was in a front-end collision before that was not reported on Carfax.”
He then goes under the hood to show the customer exactly what it is that the previous mechanic did to the car.
Apparently, he thought it was a good idea to rebuild the chassis with wood, then paint it black to blend it in with the rest of the car’s body.
Honestly, it must have been pretty convincing if no one had noticed it until that moment.

Tons of comments were praising the mechanic for being honest and professional about what he found, with one person writing, “”repair facility,” you’re being VERY generous there, bud.”
