A man smashed through the window of a Tempe, Arizona, tech company in the middle of the night and began hauling what looked like boxes of expensive Apple computers through the opening.
The security footage captured him reaching through the broken window and pulling out armful after armful of Mac mini boxes.
There was one major problem with the haul: the boxes were empty.
The actual computers, according to FOX 10 Phoenix, were sitting inside the office in front of him.
Through The Window

The break-in happened at about 2 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4, at a business park near University Drive and State Route 143.
Security footage shows a man wearing a plaid shirt and black baseball cap smashing a glass window. Rather than climbing completely inside, he reaches through the blinds and begins passing boxes out through the opening.
Employee Curran Rose arrived later to find the window shattered.
What initially looked like a potentially expensive theft soon became something employees could laugh about: the boxes contained no computers.
Wrong Boxes
Rose told FOX 10 the man left with dozens of empty Mac mini boxes even though the actual computers were nearby.
“Everyone was laughing about it,” Rose said, adding that he was glad nobody was injured.
The unusual outcome did not erase the seriousness of someone breaking into the office. Rose said the business owner remained shaken by the intrusion.
The company filed a report with Tempe Police and is trying to identify the man captured on its security cameras.
$1,500 Reward
The business owner is offering a $1,500 reward for information leading to the man’s identification and arrest.
As of Oct. 7, Tempe Police had not announced an arrest or identified a suspect through its public press-release page.
Anyone with information can contact Tempe Police. The department also maintains an anonymous crime-tip service for non-emergency information.
