A man in Ohio was thrilled after he bought a second-hand Dodge Hellcat from someone who appeared to be a non-suspicious, non-wanted man. That was definitely not the case, as he was pulled over 20 minutes after getting the car. According to the police, the previous owner had an outstanding homicide warrant. Yikes.
The traffic stop was shared online by Sammy, who goes by his username topmansammy. He describes himself as a car enthusiast turned car dealer, and his content revolves around muscle and luxury cars.
Sammy, who was in the passenger seat, had accompanied another content creator, habibis.cat, to buy a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. For around 20 minutes, the two men enjoyed the horsepower without any outside interference.
That was about to change. Soon, officers with the Lagrange Police Department pulled them over.
A Sudden Traffic Stop

With flashing lights, the patrol car positioned itself behind the Hellcat. For a moment, Sammy believed that the driver had committed a traffic violation, which he denied.
Shortly after, one officer told the driver to open the door from the outside and step out of the vehicle. The cop then ordered Sammy to do the same.
Both men complied, and the driver told the officer that he had a firearm in the door. He was then instructed to keep his hands straight up in the air and walk backward toward the officers.
Homicide Warrant
Habibis.cat immediately told the officer that he had just purchased the vehicle. He added, “I have the title and everything. Just got notarized.” The cop answered emphatically, “Keep your hands up.”
Sammy did the same, warning the officers that he had a gun in his backpack. Still recording, he asked them if he was being arrested, to which an officer said that he was being detained.
The Ohio man asked why, and the officer gave a chilling response. He said, “Someone in the car has a warrant for homicide.” That someone, by the looks of it, was probably the vehicle’s previous owner.

Both men ended up in the back of the patrol car. Sammy said that he was recording everything, adding that “this was not right.”
However, they ended up being released once the situation cleared itself up. They were off the hook, and one of the officers even apologized to them for the misunderstanding.
Still, they were warned that they would probably end up being pulled over again. Since license plates stay with the owner instead of the vehicle, police officers most likely pulled them over thanks to the vehicle’s colorful livery.
