Every single time Deputy Frank Sloup posts, I lock in and watch the whole thing from beginning to end. This video was really satisfying and involves Deputy Sloup pulling over two separate people who had two completely different reactions.
In the first one, the driver had been going 67 MPH in a 50 MPH zone, prompting Sloup to turn on his lights and pull her over. However, the driver introduced themselves with, “Just write the ticket. It’s too hot for all this.”
In the second clip, he pulled the driver for going 75 MPH in a 50 MPH zone. But in this interaction, the driver ended up being a fan, asking for a selfie with Sloup after getting a ticket.
It goes to show that even if you are breaking the law in some way, cooperating with police officers is the ticket to ensuring the best outcome.
First Driver Wasn’t Interested in Small Talk
In the video, you can see Sloup pull over a person on a roadway in Pinal County for going 17 miles over the speed limit. This person immediately proved to be in a sour mood, not being very polite to Sloup throughout the initial stage of giving her information.
When she mentioned to Sloup that “it’s too hot for all this,” that’s when he went back to his cruiser to begin writing up the ticket. He then returned to the vehicle to ask for a bit more information because of criminal speeding.
Again, the woman wasn’t being cooperative, refusing to provide her phone number for the court. She blamed the heat and her lack of air conditioning for her speeding and attitude, but Sloup still handed over the ticket, just like she asked.

Second Driver Has a Very Different Reaction To Being Pulled Over
In the second interaction, Sloup walks up the driver’s side door of a vehicle that looks to have been driving on the same roadway as the previous driver. This time, when he approaches the widow, the driver looks up and says, “Oh my god, the one and only.”
After jamming to some tunes that the driver was playing while retrieving his information, Sloup went back to his cruiser to write up the ticket. However, instead of giving him one for criminal speeding, he instead wrote one for simply speeding.
The driver was completely cooperative throughout the interaction, even asking to take a photo with the Deputy. The following image is of the driver, Sloup’s cameraman, and Sloup himself, with the latter holding up the ticket he had just given.
Commenters Say the Video Perfectly Shows Why Attitude Matters
Commenters found the situation hilarious, with many poking fun at the idea of hoping to meet Deputy Frank Sloup themselves. One person wrote, “It kinda just makes me want to find where Pinal County is and just speed around on Fridays.”
Another person compared themselves to the first driver, saying, “Just write the ticket” – words I’ve never said to a cop. Ever. . . maybe it’s why I’m 50/50 on warnings vs tickets. . . maybe.” Similarly, another person wrote, “‘It’s too hot for this’ is summer in the desert speak for ‘I ain’t got time for that.'”
Additional information about the individual drivers within each clip was not disclosed in the video. Their faces were blurred out whenever they appeared, implying that the Sheriff’s Office likely didn’t want to release that information.
