On paper, this race should have been embarrassing for the Corvette ZR1X.
It costs around $230,000 to $250,000, depending on spec. Parked next to it were a $3.5 million Koenigsegg Jesko and a $2.5 million Rimac Nevera, two machines built specifically to humiliate almost everything on the road.
Instead, Chevy’s newest monster showed up and caused absolute chaos.
In a new drag race from The Hamilton Collection, the ZR1X didn’t just keep up with hypercar royalty. It beat one of them outright and came dangerously close to taking down the other.
The Corvette Beat The Jesko

That first race quickly turned into a nightmare for the Koenigsegg Jesko.
The Swedish hypercar makes 1,280 horsepower on pump gas, costs roughly $3.5 million, and can hit 60 mph in around 2.5 seconds. That should be more than enough to handle a Corvette.
It wasn’t.
The Corvette ZR1X launched hard, pulled ahead, and left everyone stunned. The hosts repeatedly said the Corvette made the Jesko feel slow, which sounds ridiculous until you watch the footage.
The ZR1X also clocked a 9.66-second quarter-mile run despite less-than-ideal traction conditions.
Then It Went After The Nevera

That’s when things got even crazier.
The Rimac Nevera has become famous for obliterating nearly everything it races. With 1,914 horsepower and a 0-60 mph time of just 1.74 seconds, it’s one of the quickest production cars ever built.
And somehow, the Corvette made it look vulnerable.
From a standing start, the ZR1X actually edged ahead and crossed the line first in what may be one of the closest drag races you’ll ever see.
According to the video, the Nevera still technically posted the quicker quarter-mile time by just one-twentieth of a second.
That’s basically a photo finish.
The Roll Race Changed Everything

Once both cars started from a 60-mph roll, the story changed fast.
The Rimac Nevera absolutely walked away from the Corvette once speeds climbed. Its instant electric power delivery and relentless acceleration proved too much once traction was no longer part of the equation.
Even the hosts admitted the Nevera still feels nearly untouchable in a roll race.
That part wasn’t exactly surprising.
This Might Be Chevy’s Most Insane Performance Car Ever
What makes this race so impressive is the value proposition.
The Corvette ZR1X costs a fraction of what these hypercars cost, yet it still managed to embarrass a Jesko and push a Nevera to the limit.
That simply shouldn’t happen.
For years, hypercar performance was reserved for millionaires.
Now, Chevy is building a Corvette that can line up against some of the fastest cars on Earth and make things very uncomfortable.
