If you thought road rage only meant drivers flipping each other off before coming to blows in the middle of the road, or people shooting each other over a parking spot, you need to see this encounter.
People are getting creative with road rage, too, as seen in an incident straight out of California. By the end, one SUV was left sitting at a stoplight with what appeared to be a damaged tire.
Dashcam footage posted to YouTube showed a red C6 Corvette being cut off by a gray Acura RDX. At the next stoplight, however, the Corvette driver, a woman, got into an argument with the SUV driver.
The situation then escalated to a whole new level when she got out of her car and appeared to stab the SUV’s front-right tire.
SUV Move Triggers Corvette Driver
According to the YouTube video’s timestamp, the incident occurred on June 30, 2026, at around 9:02 a.m. at a Los Angeles-area intersection. The uploader said in the comments that the confrontation took place near 936 Artesia Blvd. in Gardena.
Initially, the video shows several cars at a stoplight, making it seem like a normal day in LA. The red Corvette remained in sight, too. However, a few seconds into the video, before the cars reached the next intersection, the Acura moved into the Corvette’s lane.
The Corvette’s brake lights illuminated, suggesting the driver braked to avoid a potential collision. As the vehicles approached the next intersection, the Corvette was driving alongside the Acura, and its driver swerved abruptly toward the SUV.
At the red light, the SUV driver rolled down his window, and the two drivers appeared to begin arguing. Things escalated when the Corvette driver got out and appeared to press a sharp object into the Acura’s front-right tire.
She then hurried back toward her car and got inside. Meanwhile, the Acura driver stepped out and moved toward the Corvette’s front wheel, but the woman sped away while the light was still red.
The Acura remained stationary in the left lane, with its front-right tire appearing deflated. The driver then slowly walked back to his vehicle and got inside.
Instant Karma or Unnecessary Trouble?
Some Reddit viewers argued that the Acura driver caused the confrontation by cutting off the Corvette. However, the video does not show enough context to determine whether the lane change was intentional, and it certainly does not justify getting out at a red light and apparently damaging another vehicle’s tire.
Even if the Acura driver made a mistake, the question is whether that warranted having his tire damaged. The lane change may have been careless, but the Corvette driver’s response could potentially land her in legal trouble.
It is also worth considering how badly this could have ended had the Acura driver been carrying a gun or another weapon. Getting out of a vehicle during a road-rage confrontation can turn a minor traffic dispute into a dangerous or even deadly encounter within seconds.
If the Corvette driver was upset about being cut off, the safer response would have been to create distance and report the incident to police rather than taking matters into her own hands. Your safety and peace of mind are far more important than getting even with someone over a lane change.
