Bugatti Honors the Veyron with a Bespoke $10M+ Hypercar for the Ages

The hypercar world is where machines are celebrated for their performance and others revered for their story. Bugatti’s newest creation, the F.K.P. Hommage, arrives that world with a rare combination.

Built for a single client through Bugatti’s elite Programme Solitaire, this car is less an automobile and more a rolling tribute to one of the most influential performance cars ever made — the Bugatti Veyron.

The original Veyron stunned the automotive landscape when it debuted in 2005, with 1,001 horsepower and top speeds above 248 mph. It was the first car to truly shatter the notion of what a production car could do, and it anchored Bugatti’s resurgence as a maker of ultra-high-performance legends.

The F.K.P. Hommage exists to honor that legacy and the visionary behind it, Professor Dr Ferdinand Karl Piëch, whose insistence on engineering excellence helped make the Veyron a reality.

This new hypercar is rooted deeply in tradition even while it introduces a bold reinterpretation of a classic. Underneath its bespoke coachwork, the Hommage uses the Chiron Super Sport platform, unarguably one of Bugatti’s most capable engineering bases.

This allows it to carry the iconic quad turbocharged 8.0-liter W16 engine that produces an astonishing 1,578 to 1,600 horsepower.

That figure is more than 50 percent greater than the original Veyron and represents the pinnacle of the W16’s evolution before Bugatti transitions to new powertrain technologies in upcoming models.

Modern Coachwork Evokes a Legendary Silhouette

Visually, the car instantly evokes the classic Veyron silhouette with proportions that feel familiar to fans of early 2000s hypercar culture. Yet look closer and you see the work of a meticulous design team striving to reinterpret that icon for the 2020s.

The horseshoe grille that defined Bugatti style has been machined from a solid block of aluminum into a three-dimensional form that seems to emerge from the body itself. Larger air intakes speak to modern cooling needs while preserving the brand’s visual identity.

A bespoke paint treatment blends a deep red layered over a silver metallic base, with carbon fiber left exposed and tinted to create visual depth and contrast that feels contemporary and also respectful of tradition.

An Interior as an Objet d’Art

One of the interior’s standout elements is a custom integrated timepiece by Audemars Piguet, set into the dashboard in its own bespoke housing. Far from a mere accessory, the timepiece is a mechanically wound Royal Oak Tourbillon crafted specifically for this car to remind everyone that this project is as much about artistry as it is about speed.

Bugatti developed a unique self-winding mechanism that keeps the watch running using the vehicle’s own systems, further blurring the line between machine and objet d’art.

The cockpit itself draws inspiration from the Veyron and the Chiron but asserts its own identity. A circular steering wheel nods to the analogue feel of early hypercars, while center console elements and trim are machined from solid aluminum.

Upholstery uses custom woven fabrics created in Paris alongside luxurious leathers, giving the interior a bespoke character that sets it apart from production models.

Peak W16 Performance and the Ultimate Bespoke Program

While Bugatti has not fully disclosed performance figures beyond power output, the Hommage’s mechanical foundation suggests exceptional dynamics. Everything from braking systems to aerodynamics has been upgraded from the already formidable Chiron Super Sport standards, allowing this one-off to deliver performance worthy of its heritage.

Early reports suggest the car will be road legal in Europe, where the owner intends to drive it alongside their original Veyron.

The F.K.P. Hommage is the second commission to come from Bugatti’s Programme Solitaire, a division dedicated to creating bespoke, one-off masterpieces for the most discerning collectors. Bugatti plans to deliver no more than two of these creations annually, making each a rare statement piece in marriages of automotive history and personal expression.

Retro inspired cars often feel like exercises in nostalgia, but the Bugatti F.K.P. Hommage is a different beast because it does not simply copy the past. Instead, it invites the spirit of a legend into the present by combining timeless design, peerless engineering, and an almost obsessive attention to detail.
