Reader, let me tell you, whenever Deputy Frank Sloup from the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office comes across my timeline of videos, I stop and watch. In this video, he stops two vehicles that each had pretty weird excuses for their reasons.
One person thought it was okay to keep driving past a school bus that was stopped with its emergency lights out. Another driver didn’t know how to put their registration sticker on their car.
You read that right. The best way to explain it would be to watch the whole interaction, which, realistically, is pretty entertaining.
If you take only one thing away from this video, let it be the knowledge of how to apply stickers to things in your everyday life, not just on your license plate for legal purposes.
Maybe She Really Didn’t Know

During Deputy Frank Sloup’s first stop, he turns on his emergency lights for a driver who was driving opposite a school bus that was stopped, attending to children. Whenever a bus stops and deploys its emergency lights and stop sign, all the cars on either side of the road must come to a complete stop.
Unfortunately, it seems that this driver didn’t know that. It’s a good thing that Sloup is the one who stopped them, because he doesn’t offer leniency for this kind of infraction.
Before letting her go, he gave her a ticket for failing to stop for a school bus with its signs out as well as for not having her insurance card.
The Second Stop Wasn’t Much Better
The second stop is my personal favorite. When Deputy Sloup arrives at the driver’s window, he mentions that he noticed she had been speeding 20 miles over the speed limit as well as had a registration tag that had expired the month before.
The excuse that was provided for this was that she didn’t understand how to apply the sticker. Sloup took this as a teaching opportunity and showed the driver how to apply a sticker.
In fact, when he went back to his patrol car to run the driver’s information, he took a moment to let viewers know how to do it at home as well. He then comes back to the driver with a few stickers of the police department’s logo for her to use as practice.
I think I would have died from embarrassment at that point.
Commenters Were Having a Field Day
Commenters absolutely loved Frank handing the driver stickers for some extra practice, with one person calling it “diabolical” and another saying the “sticker practice with ticketing agency stickers” was priceless. Someone else thought he should have taken the lesson even further, writing, “Should have made her go put the sticker on before driving away.”
Frank’s delivery earned just as much attention, especially his question, “Have you never put a sticker on anything before?” One viewer called him a “national treasure,” while another summed up the entire exchange by saying, “The trolling is strong with this one.”
A few people were more sympathetic toward the driver, including one commenter who admitted her husband once put their registration sticker in the wrong place and joked that “some people don’t know how to do it.” Still, most viewers were laughing right along with Frank, with one even deciding that he deserved the “Gold Star STICKER today.”
