Here’s one delivery driver who might be celebrating TGIF a little harder than usual after a delivery this week went very wrong.
A doorbell video posted to TikTok by Josh Vestal shows an Amazon delivery driver outside a white van as the vehicle begins rolling toward the house. The driver quickly realizes what is happening and tries to stop it as the van closes the short distance between the driveway and garage.
“POV: Your @Amazon driver was told ‘leave it outside the garage door’ but they wanted to put it INSIDE,” Vestal joked in the caption.
The video has taken off on TikTok, racking up more than 9,200 likes, 2,400 shares, 700 comments, and 450 saves by Friday afternoon.

The Vivint camera captures the driver near the front of the van with packages in hand as the vehicle continues rolling toward the garage. She reaches toward the van and tries to stop it, but it keeps moving.
TikTok Viewers React to the Runaway Hit
Plenty of viewers focused on how the van ended up moving in the first place. “I just don’t understand how you forget to put the car in park,” one commenter wrote, while another asked why it took so long to realize the vehicle was still moving.
Others were more concerned about the driver’s attempt to stop the van herself. “Why do people always think they can stop a moving car,” one person wrote.
Another commenter joked that newer delivery vans make drivers put the vehicle in park before getting out. Someone else summed up the potential consequences more dramatically: “the lawsuit would have been amazing.”
The reaction hasn’t been limited to comments. More than 2,400 people had shared Vestal’s video by Friday afternoon, helping push the delivery mishap well beyond the original post.
Vestal did not provide details in the TikTok post about the extent of any damage or what happened with the driver afterward.
