Everyone loves a bit of entertaining dashcam footage. Who doesn’t love seeing some outrageously bad driving? Well, it isn’t just bad driving they can capture. Sometimes, dashcams can film cyclists riding around badly and causing carnage for pedestrians and road users.

An example of this was recently uploaded to the r/dashcams subreddit on Reddit by user sharkowictz. In the video, we are riding on board a car as it approaches traffic lights, which are green for the car we are on board with. At the start of the clip, everything looks normal.

It is only a short clip, so the incident itself takes place quite quickly. From the right-hand side, we can see a bicycle suddenly emerge, and the rider just launches themselves straight onto the road. Clearly, they don’t care for anyone around them as they fire themselves into traffic.

An SUV in front of us has to take evasive action, as the cyclist nearly hits it. The dashcam car we are riding on board with also has to brake and slow down to prevent an accident from occurring. It is a chaotic short clip, showcasing truly terrible bike riding.

The footage is barely believable.

The first three or four seconds are normal, but then the cyclist emerges into view from the right-hand side. Before entering the main road, he has already launched himself in front of a Jeep trying to turn right, and he shows no signs of slowing down. The rider just powered into the road in front of the oncoming traffic.

The white Jeep SUV directly in front of us suddenly has to slam on its brakes as it realizes the cyclist is coming at them. The cyclist himself nearly runs into the side of the Jeep before swerving in front of the dashcam car. Incredibly, the rider doesn’t seem to care that he’s nearly been hit, or the fact that he has nearly smashed into the side of someone’s car.

There isn’t even a hint of apology to those he has got in the way of. Yet as the footage closes, he then looks behind him quickly before heading off to the left, again in front of oncoming traffic. Sadly, the footage ends, so we can’t see what happens next or whether he annoyed anyone else on the road. But it is a truly astounding video to watch.

At the time of writing, the video had 947 upvotes and had drawn plenty of attention in the comments section from other Reddit users.

Reddit Users Didn’t Approve of the Cyclists’ Behaviour

Many comments criticized the cyclist’s behavior. “He definitely went home and made a post on his local subreddit or Facebook group ranting about the bad drivers in his town who can’t share the road,” said one Reddit user. “I cycle, but I HAVE to agree with you on this one. It’s the worst of them that get us killed,” said another in response to the top comment.

“Bicyclist here. That rider is simply a [expletive] that will end up in the hospital or the morgue,” said another. “There are drivers and motorcyclists like this too. We’ve all seen them. Aggressive, entitled, dangerous af, and their time on earth is limited,” they added.

So clearly, the man on the bicycle didn’t find any sympathy for nearly running into a couple of cars.
