The driver of a modified Nissan Skyline R33 was in for a big surprise while driving down I-35 when a Dallas Police patrol vehicle slowed down in front of him, indicating that something unusual was about to happen.

The interaction, which was caught on video and has been posted to Instagram, suggested that the officer was a car enthusiast and likely had a particular fondness for JDM cars.

One could say he loved the turbo flutter, as he signaled for the Skyline driver to pass him. The driver initially thought he was being pulled over, so he pulled alongside the patrol car to see what the officer was trying to say.

When he pulled alongside the patrol vehicle, he was surprised to hear what the enthusiastic officer had to say.

Nissan Skyline Driver Went Home Smiling That Day

A police car slowing down to let a vehicle pass could be a sign of trouble. However, in this case, the cool police officer in the patrol vehicle wanted to see and hear the tuned Skyline R33’s engine note. The video was posted by the driver, whose Instagram handle is ‘quaaad._’. His name has not been revealed.

When the Skyline pulled up alongside the patrol vehicle, the officer shouted at the top of his voice, saying:

“I love it, brother! I love it!”

Noticing that there was no sign of trouble, the driver said in a happy tone: “Appreciate that, man! Thank you!”

He then accelerated, producing more turbo flutter as he passed the patrol vehicle.

“That was so random, and that was cool. Hahaha, what the f*ck,” he said.

Patrol Vehicle Pulls Up Alongside Again

The show was not over yet. The officer wanted more of the ‘stutututu’ noises, so the patrol vehicle was spotted cruising beside the Skyline once again. This time, though, the officer had his phone out and was recording the run.

Noticing that he had grabbed police attention and that the officer wanted to hear more of his car, the driver got excited and screamed:

“Oh sh*t!”

Just then, a tunnel approached that made everyone smile. The Skyline was downshifted, setting the stage for another burst of turbo flutter. As both vehicles entered the tunnel side by side, the Skyline R33 accelerated, and its engine note echoed through the enclosed space.

The driver, who still couldn’t believe that the police had become fans of his car, shouted in his car, saying:

“Haha! A cop told me to do it! What the f*ck! Hahaha!

“That’s so crazy! Oh, that’s awesome.”

The patrol vehicle then passed him, with the officer sticking his thumb out of the window. The driver of the Skyline said:

“That is so f*ck*ng cool.”

He added:

“Hey man you know, the force needs more people like that.

“That’s a great example of being part of the car community right there.”

What do you think of this officer’s interaction with the Skyline driver? Let us know in the comments.
