A woman in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, brought her tire for a quick fix, thinking that she only had to worry about a nail. She, however, didn’t think that a massive puncture combined with a missing piece of the tire would be an issue that couldn’t be remedied by a patch. The mechanic, understandably, lost it at the suggestion.
The odd interaction was shared online by Team All Business, who often share their mechanic day-to-day happenings. This case in question definitely fit the bill.
Throughout a four-clip saga, the mechanics were perplexed by the state of the client’s tire. To them, it was far beyond repair, but the owner refused to believe that, saying that patching the tire would do the trick.
However, as evidently shown by the footage attached below, no mechanic fix, trick, or even wizardry could ever save the tire. The woman who owns it, however, remained immovable in her desire to use it on the road. Somehow.
Mechanics in Shock

The second clip in the series showed the mechanics attempting to reason with the woman. They had just realized the extent of the tire’s damage, so they wanted to make things clear with her.
The mechanic addressed the woman’s initial concern, which was the nail in the tire. The woman asked, “Why is it not fixed yet?”
Calmly, the mechanic responded, “The reason why it’s not fixed yet is because this is not the problem.” He then pointed at the huge hole and missing tire piece right beside the nail and said, “That’s your problem. If I fix this, you still gonna have a leak.”
Impossible Patch
The lady, however, didn’t think it was a big deal. Without thinking twice, she asked, “Okay, can you just patch that too? Looks like a perfect hole to me.”
An awkward silence followed, and another off-screen mechanic uttered a nervous laugh. The explaining mechanic just told the woman to look at the hole.
Then, he continued, saying that the tire’s steel belt had broken. The footage clearly showed the state of the belt, and the mechanic, in very simple terms, told the woman that it was “a problem.”
Master Mechanic?

And despite the clear evidence that the tire had reached the end of its life, the woman insisted it could be revived. She said, “My dad’s a master mechanic, and he said it’s an easy fix, and he should be able to patch that,” as shown in the last clip of the bunch.
The mechanic, lost for words, repeated the question back to her, only to tell her that her dad, the supposed “master mechanic,” clearly hadn’t seen the tire. His frustration was endless.
He would then grab a pen and stick it inside the puncture. It went right through, and even after the man pointed out the overall state of the tire besides the puncture and hole, the woman insisted that it was fixable, accusing the man of trying to “scare” her and that it was “a perfect hole to patch it.”
The saga ended with the mechanic asking why the woman didn’t take her tire to her father, since he was a master mechanic after all. She said that he was unavailable. According to her, he was at a Fourth of July party at the time.
