A man in Pennsylvania is facing some rather interesting charges after he got into an out-of-control bar fight. What’s even more interesting is that it didn’t stop there, with the case involving a nude suspect, a hiding spot in a bush, and a struggle with officers.

The suspect was identified as 32-year-old Marc Antonio Misiura of Olyphant, Pennsylvania. He was arrested Sunday evening following a series of incidents that began at a local bar and ended at the Lackawanna County Prison.

Witnesses told officers that Misiura had become involved in a fight with another customer inside the establishment. Police said that when another man attempted to intervene and break up the altercation, Misiura allegedly punched him before fleeing the scene.

Things only continued to escalate from there, if you could believe that. In fact, he pretty much led the police right to his front door.

Suspect Answered Door Naked Before Fleeing on Foot

According to the criminal complaint, Misiura answered the door completely naked when officers arrived. Police allege that he immediately began cursing at the officers before slamming the door shut.

Authorities say Misiura repeatedly darted in and out of the apartment building in an apparent effort to avoid being taken into custody. Eventually, officers say he made a run for it through several nearby residential properties.

The chase continued until officers located him hiding inside a bush in the neighborhood. However, Misiura again tried to run away before being ordered to the ground and being tasered.

Bush Hideout and Continued Resistance Complicate Arrest

During this final attempt to escape, Misiura tripped while trying to run, allowing Officer Michael Gervasi to tackle him. Even then, officers say Misiura continued resisting as they attempted to place him in handcuffs.

If you would believe it, Misiura refused to enter the patrol vehicle after his arrest, forcing officers to physically subdue him. After arriving at police headquarters to be booked and held, he still couldn’t calm down, throwing himself on the floor of his cell and striking his head against the wall.

According to the complaint, Misiura told officers that when he was released from jail, he intended to find the individuals involved in the original bar fight. As a result, Misiura has been charged with making terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, and fleeing police.

Suspect Faces Years in Prison if Convicted of Charges

If convicted of these charges, then Marc Antonio Misiura could face up to seven years in prison and fines exceeding $11,000. He remains incarcerated at the Lackawanna County Prison after bail was set at $15,000.

Those involved in the bar fight, as well as the officers, were not reported to have any injuries. More than anything, this seemed like a tale that they’ll have a difficult time trying to pass off as true the next time they tell it.

A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for 10:30 am on July 1 before District Judge Laura Turlip. All suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

When agencies provide limited details, we supplement reporting with local news coverage, public records, and direct outreach whenever possible. Upon conducting additional research, the original police report was unable to be located.
