Deputy Sloup is at it again with another video about drivers who think they know more than the police officers stopping them. In this episode, the driver attempted to tell a sob story about the last time she was stopped by an officer, saying that he allegedly had his hand on his weapon throughout the interaction.

The incident itself happened sometime in 2024, as implied by the time stamp visible on the top right corner of the video.

The officer who stopped her was actually incredibly understanding, doing his best to keep the driver calm while speaking with her. At one point, he told her he needed to return to his patrol vehicle to check the license and registration she had handed over.

Unfortunately, this only made things worse for the female driver. In fact, I’d argue that the woman likely made the comment she did about her previous run-in with law enforcement because of what the officer found when he went back to his car.

As usual, Deputy Sloup chimes in to give an officer’s perspective of what the driver could have done differently if she really didn’t want to be confronted by police. Of course, his commentary about everything going on is really what makes it worth the watch.

The Cop Was Pretty Calm Throughout

The video starts from the point of view of the officer’s dash camera, facing the driver in question on what appears to be a highway of some kind. You can tell that the rest of the video is going to be great from the moment the officer says, “Don’t think the attitude is going to help your situation.”

Unfortunately, it isn’t clear exactly what the officer meant by ‘attitude,’ especially since the video starts just after her response to his question. However, shortly after telling this, the woman starts to tell a story about the last time she was stopped by law enforcement, which resulted in that particular officer apparently leaving his hand on the hilt of his weapon the whole time.

Upon hearing this, the officer says, “I got you, I’m not them.” The officer then asks for the woman’s driver’s license and registration so that he can check them out back at his vehicle. When he does run it all, he makes a discovery that probably led to why the driver had such a bad experience: her driver’s license was suspended.

Things Didn’t Go as She Planned

Upon realizing this, he came over to her window and asked that she step out of the vehicle and meet him by the trunk so they could go over the paperwork. Interestingly, the woman seemed to act shocked, as though she had no idea why she would need to get out.

At this point, Deputy Sloup chimes in and says that the woman’s negative experience with law enforcement likely stems from the fact that she is attracting them. He advises that if she really didn’t want to be confronted, then she shouldn’t do things like drive at a criminal speed and with a suspended license.

Commenters very much felt the same, with many condemning the woman’s behavior. In fact, some questioned if she should even be driving in the first place.

Commenters Are Dragging Her Through the Mud

One of the very top comments reads: “There really should be an IQ test before the driver test.” At the time of publication, that comment had nearly 1,400 likes.

It seems that other commenters remembered this particular incident, with another top comment reading, “He didn’t show the whole video this was just the beginning of her show of acts. She threw the biggest fit getting out the car it was so ridiculous .”

As explained, the incident happened in 2024, but has gone viral again on websites like Facebook. Most recently, this video by Deputy Sloup uses the incident in the above Facebook Reel as a teachable moment about how routine traffic stops can spiral.
