Disneyland Resort has already put its 2026 Halloween season on the calendar. Halloween Time is scheduled to run from August 21 through October 31, bringing seasonal décor, themed attractions, entertainment, dining, and fall details across the resort.
The biggest planning detail is the return of Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure. Disney lists the separately ticketed Halloween party on select nights from August 18 through October 31, 2026.
The party calendar is larger than before. Disney Parks Blog says the 2026 event will offer 33 dates, giving visitors more chances to build an Anaheim trip around costumes, candy, characters, and after-dark entertainment.
Travelers should not treat the season like a normal park day with pumpkins added. Oogie Boogie Bash requires a separate ticket, Halloween Time has its own seasonal overlays, and Plaza de la Familia adds another fall event window at Disney California Adventure.
Oogie Boogie Bash Is Returning With 33 Dates

Oogie Boogie Bash is scheduled to return to Disney California Adventure on select nights in August, September, and October. Disney lists 2026 event dates beginning Tuesday, August 18, and running through Saturday, October 31.
The official date list includes six August nights, thirteen September nights, and fourteen October nights. Disney Parks Blog describes the 2026 calendar as the party’s largest yet, with 33 total dates.
The event is separate from regular daytime admission. Disney describes it as a family-friendly after-hours Halloween party with tricks, treats, costumes, and special entertainment.
Tickets are limited and valid only for the selected event date and hours. Disney says tickets must be purchased online, are not available on the day of the event, and are limited to eight tickets per guest, per event date.
Halloween Time Brings Seasonal Details to Both Parks

Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort is scheduled for August 21 through October 31, 2026. The resort’s official events calendar lists Halloween Time as included with park admission, while Oogie Boogie Bash appears separately as a ticketed event.
At Disneyland Park, Disney lists the Main Street Pumpkin Festival and the giant Mickey pumpkin among the seasonal details. The lineup also includes Haunted Mansion Holiday and Halloween Screams.
Those offerings give daytime visitors something to plan around even without an Oogie Boogie Bash ticket. A regular park day can still include Halloween décor, seasonal entertainment, and attraction overlays.
The key is checking the daily schedule before choosing park days. Entertainment, fireworks, operating hours, and special-event nights can change how the evening feels, especially when a separately ticketed party affects Disney California Adventure hours.
Disney California Adventure Gets Its Own Halloween Setup

Disney California Adventure has a different Halloween look from Disneyland Park. Disney says Oogie Boogie casts a shadowy eye from the Main Gate marquee during the season.
Buena Vista Street gets bats around Carthay Circle Theatre, a Headless Horseman statue, and other seasonal decorations. Cars Land turns into Radiator Screams for Haul-O-Ween, with car-stumes and Halloween details around the land.
The ride overlays help make the park feel different for repeat visitors. Disney lists Guardians of the Galaxy, Monsters After Dark; Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween; and Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree among the Halloween offerings.
Families who are not attending the party can still use a daytime Disney California Adventure visit for seasonal photos, ride overlays, and Cars Land decorations. Party guests should check which offerings are available during the event itself, because Disney notes that only select attractions, experiences, services, and offerings operate during Oogie Boogie Bash.
The Party Has Rules Travelers Should Know Before Booking

Oogie Boogie Bash is not included with a standard daytime ticket. Disney says event tickets are limited, valid only for the specific event date and hours, and must be purchased online before the event date.
Parking is not included in the ticket price. Tickets are nonrefundable, may not be resold or transferred for commercial purposes, and are not required for guests ages 2 and under.
Costumes are part of the event, but Disney’s costume guidelines apply. The official party page says costumes should not be obstructive or offensive, and guests should review the special-event costume rules before arriving.
Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Premier Pass, and Single Pass are not available during the event. Visitors who expect normal daytime line-skipping options should adjust the plan before buying party tickets.
Plaza de la Familia Extends the Fall Calendar

Disneyland Resort’s fall calendar is not limited to Halloween. Plaza de la Familia is scheduled to return to Disney California Adventure from August 21 through November 2, 2026.
Disney describes the event as a celebration of family, the music of Coco, and the spirit of Día de los Muertos. The official page lists the Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia show, a Miguel photo opportunity, Paradise Gardens décor, crafts, and live music among the offerings.
The timing lets travelers build a broader fall visit. A daytime itinerary can include Halloween Time offerings and Plaza de la Familia, while an Oogie Boogie Bash ticket can add a separate after-hours party night.
Before booking flights or hotels, check park hours, event nights, ticket availability, and reservation details. The strongest fall trip uses the calendar first, then builds the park days around the events that matter most.
