When the Las Vegas Grand Prix joined the North American Circuit, it didn’t just add another race, but it delivered an exhilarating night race beneath the dazzling lights of the Strip. You don’t have to wait until the GP to get in on the action either, because the largest immersive F1 experience in North America just officially opened at the Grand Prix Plaza.

While Formula 1 has been a popular form of motorsports all over the world for decades, giving us some of the best racing driver’s known to man like Ayrton Senna, Michael, Schumacher, and Lewis Hamilton, American’s love for the sport sky rocketed with the introduction of the Netflix series Formula 1: Drive to Survive.

Now, fans can get in on the action before the race with everything the Grand Prix Plaza has to offer.

Since the first Las Vegas Formula 1 Grand Prix, city officials have worked hard to add year-round exhibits and fan experiences, turning Vegas into a permanent home for the race and even sparking new racing enthusiasts along the way.

Open to ticket-holders, the Las Vegas Grand Prix Pit Building is set on 39 acres and offers 100,000 square feet of interactive activities and experiences.

“Grand Prix Plaza’s opening is a remarkable milestone for Formula 1 in North America. It embodies everything people love about the sport – innovation, teamwork, and adrenaline-fueled excitement. Visitors of all ages can learn the sport’s storied history and immerse themselves in its future through simulation, karting, and exclusive exhibitions,” shares Emily Prazer, President and CEO of Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc. (LVGP) and Chief Commercial Officer for Formula 1, in the official opening release.

Visitors start off their learning journey at the ETC, a replica of the Formula 1 broadcast center and control room, where they can experience a simulation of a live race. From there, cutting-edge holograms, race cars, suits, helmets, and trophies — many of which are on display for the first time in North America — are on display before moving into the Formula 1 Factory. This showcase is where you can learn more about the engineering that goes into the cars themselves.

Design Your Own Racing Livery

What’s your favorite racing livery of all time? What if you could create your own? In the Design Studio, fans can bring their ideas to life, by choosing colors, livery designs, and patterns. If that’s not cool enough, you can see your design come to life as it’s projected onto a full-sized Formula 1 car body.

Get Hands-On Experience

At the Pit Stop Demo, you can test your tire-changing skills in real-time and see how good you’d be as a member of the pit crew.

Step into the Driver’s Briefing Room to learn what training it takes to be an elite-level motorsports athlete, and don’t forget to stop into the 4D theatre for a hyper-realistic ride of the Las Vegas Circuit.
