A TikTok video has gone viral for featuring a man who had his car completely totaled after he and his dog were hit by a semi-truck. Fortunately, he came out with little to no injuries, except for what looks like a broken nose and some pain in his back and legs.
What’s crazy is that he claims not to even remember the accident at all. He only realized what happened because that’s what he was told after waking up in the hospital and reading the police report on the incident.
As for his dog, he suffered zero injuries and was actually with the driver of the totalled Lexus throughout his drive to the hospital and his stay. He’s since been released, as he can be seen sitting outside and recording the video, but he definitely looks a little banged up.
Judging by the images that he shows of the car, it really is a miracle that he was able to walk away with only those injuries. The inside of the car looked even gnarlier than the outside, in my opinion.
The Lexus Really Took One for the Team

In the video, TikTok user Prince and his dog Rome can be seen talking to the camera and talking about an incident that had recently occurred to them. Despite not remembering the entire accident, Prince says that he was hit by a semi-truck that really did a number on his car.
In the photos that he shows, you can see that the front bumper and hood look to be completely caved in and the windshield smashed. He then shows the inside of the Lexus, which shows the airbags having been deployed and the contents of both cabs having been tossed around haphazardly.
To lighten the mood a bit, he asks Lexus if they could give him a new car as a result of surviving the crash.
You can also see that there is a little bit of blood on the airbag that deployed from the steering wheel. It doesn’t show where Rome had been seated during the crash, but he was able to make it out safely.
Commenters Immediately Adopted Rome
Thankfully, the comments section was filled with far more support than criticism. Most viewers were simply relieved that both Prince and Rome managed to survive the ordeal.
Of course, plenty of people were also concerned about the driver’s recovery. “Get better soon bro I love ur content man,” one follower wrote, while another added, “Wow, glad you and your dog are ok!”
Interestingly, a number of viewers were already thinking ahead to what comes next. Several commenters urged the creator to contact a personal injury attorney and be careful about what he posts online while dealing with insurance companies. One person even warned, “If you are getting any calls about insurance and settlement, those folks will use this against your claim.”
As wholesome as many of the comments were, Rome may have stolen the show. Numerous viewers pointed out the fact that Rome never left his owner’s side, with one commenter writing, “That’s why they are ‘man’s best friend’, he still had your back when you couldn’t!!”
Honestly, after watching the video and seeing the aftermath, it’s hard to argue with that. Thankfully, both the Prince and Rome made it out alive, which is really all that matters at the end of the day.
