A driver who needed a bathroom early Sunday morning apparently decided a locked grocery store entrance was a problem his vehicle could solve.
The 60-year-old man intentionally accelerated into a Kroger in Rosenberg, Texas, at about 4:28 a.m. on Sept. 27, according to a Rosenberg Police Department post.
The crash caused extensive damage to the store’s pharmacy entrance.
Police said the explanation came during the investigation: the driver needed to use the restroom and was upset because the doors were locked. FOX 26 later confirmed with the department that the man was arrested and charged with criminal mischief.

The department did not identify the driver in its public post.
Police managed to find some humor in the circumstances while making clear that driving through the building was not the recommended solution.
“I guess when you gotta go, you gotta go,” the department wrote, before advising people to find a business that is actually open when nature calls.
FOX 26 reported that the department described the crash as intentional rather than accidental. Police said the vehicle damaged the pharmacy entrance when it went into the store.
The department’s public account did not provide an estimated dollar value for the damage or say whether anyone inside the Kroger was injured.
