One of the worst things that could happen to your brand-new car, except for spontaneously combusting, is probably spilling hot wax on the front passenger seat. Unfortunately for a woman in Eagan, Minnesota, that is exactly what happened to her.
The major mishap occurred to Naomi Beyene. She runs the Kawaii Beauty studio in Eagan, and often shares makeup and beauty content with her followers.
The woman, however, took a break from her regularly scheduled programming and shared what happened to her new car. Imagine her shock when, upon returning to her car, she stumbled across a very waxy seat.
The shock was then replaced with horror. After all, cleaning the mess would require an almost herculean effort. And that’s exactly what Naomi set out to do.

In her initial 33-second clip, Naomi explained what had occurred. Apparently, she had left her wax pot sat up with the lid on. Somehow, the wax melted away and onto the front passenger seat.
The video showed part of the beige wax still in the pot. Most of it had unfortunately painted the seat in a very future-cleaning-wise disturbing manner, as it was hard wax, and therefore much harder to clean.
“Mind you, this car was purchased in November with nothing. 0 miles, and I did this,” Naomi said.

In a follow-up clip, the Minnesota woman visited a Sally Beauty Supply shop. She was set on removing the wax by any means necessary.
Unfortunately, Sally didn’t have the item she was looking for: Goo Gone. This remover is designed to remove residue such as Naomi’s wax, so long as the wax is warmed up again.
The Goo Gone was located at a local Walmart. Unfortunately for Naomi, enough time had passed that the wax hardened. She was able to scrape part of it, but evidently, things weren’t going as expected.
“I just want to buy a new seat at this point because like, what the [expletive]? How much do new seats cost?” Naomi said.
Cleaning the Wax… Maybe?
Naomi started to heat the wax with some paper and a clothes iron. The wax started to melt, and it stuck to the paper. She was ready to move forward.
Naomi proceeded to almost flood her car seat with Goo Gone. It appeared that the product had done the trick.
Unfortunately, the scraping had left some noticeable abrasions on the seat, which Naomi noticed. Apparently, she had used a knife that cut the fabric.
Naomi was satisfied with the end result. Now she will take it to get detailed in the hopes of getting back to its prior, non-waxy form.
