Ford has officially revealed the new Bronco Filson, and it may be one of the most interesting additions to the Bronco lineup since the Raptor arrived. Created in partnership with premium outdoor apparel company Filson, the special-edition SUV combines upscale materials, genuine off-road capability, and rugged design touches aimed at buyers who actually spend time outside rather than simply commuting through suburbia.
At first glance, the Bronco Filson looks like another appearance package riding the wave of lifestyle branding. Dig deeper, though, and it becomes clear Ford approached this project differently. Underneath the unique paint, leather, and Filson logos sits hardware borrowed from some of the most capable Broncos currently on sale.
That combination gives the Bronco Filson a unique position in Ford’s growing off-road family. It delivers much of the rugged capability buyers expect from higher-performance Bronco trims while adding a more refined and adventure-focused personality that feels reminiscent of the old Eddie Bauer editions from the 1990s.
Ford appears to understand exactly what made those earlier special editions so successful. Buyers did not necessarily want the fastest or most extreme SUV on the market. They wanted something capable, comfortable, durable, and distinctive enough to feel like part of their lifestyle.
The Bronco Filson Packs Serious Off-Road Hardware

Unlike many premium special editions that focus mostly on cosmetics, the Bronco Filson arrives with meaningful upgrades underneath the sheet metal. Every model comes standard with the Sasquatch Package, giving it genuine off-road credibility straight from the factory.
That package includes front and rear electronic locking differentials, high-performance Fox shocks with internal bypass technology, and massive 35-inch rugged-terrain tires. Ford also includes its G.O.A.T. terrain management system with seven selectable drive modes covering everything from rock crawling to Baja-style desert driving.
Power comes from a turbocharged 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 related to the engine used in the Bronco Raptor. Ford says the Filson receives application-specific tuning, although final horsepower figures have not yet been disclosed. Even so, it is expected to sit above every standard Bronco trim in terms of output.
The result is an SUV that looks premium without sacrificing capability. Trail Turn Assist, Trail 1-Pedal Drive, and advanced off-road electronics reinforce the fact that this Bronco was designed to leave pavement behind regularly.
Filson’s Influence Shows Up Most Clearly Inside

The interior is where the Filson collaboration becomes most obvious. Instead of chasing flashy luxury trends, Ford and Filson focused on creating a cabin that feels durable, tactile, and purpose-built.
Quilted leather seating surfaces combine with woven fabric inspired by Filson’s rugged twill products. The dashboard and steering wheel receive leather wrapping, while brass accents appear throughout the cabin on trim pieces and controls.
One of the smartest additions is the removable saddlebag-style storage system integrated into the interior. The bags can be detached and carried directly to campsites, fishing spots, or trails, giving the Bronco Filson a genuinely functional edge over most special-edition SUVs.
Ford also worked to improve refinement without softening the Bronco’s character. Acoustic glass, upgraded seals, and airflow improvements reportedly reduce perceived wind noise by nearly 20 percent compared to the original 2021 Bronco.
Ventilated front seats, heated front and rear seats, a digital rearview mirror, power running boards, and an upgraded B&O sound system round out what Ford describes as the quietest and most premium Bronco cabin yet.
Ford May Have Found A Sweet Spot Jeep Still Hasn’t

Perhaps the most interesting thing about the Bronco Filson is that Jeep does not really offer a direct competitor. The Wrangler Rubicon focuses heavily on off-road capability, while luxury-oriented trims lean more toward upscale styling than authentic outdoor utility.
The Bronco Filson attempts to merge both ideas into a single package. It targets buyers who want a genuinely capable off-roader while still appreciating premium materials, thoughtful storage solutions, and everyday comfort.
Ford plans to offer the Bronco Filson in several exclusive colors, including Field Green Metallic, Marsh Gray, Desert Sand, and Avalanche Gray. A launch-exclusive First Edition finished in Iron Sands Copper Metallic will also be available with serialized badging and additional Filson-inspired details.
Pricing is expected to start somewhere in the mid-$70,000 range, placing the Bronco Filson just below the Bronco Raptor and directly into Land Rover Defender territory. That is expensive for a Bronco, but Ford clearly believes buyers are willing to pay for a more refined interpretation of its off-road SUV.
Orders are scheduled to open in fall 2026, with the first deliveries arriving early next year. If Ford gets the pricing and production numbers right, the Bronco Filson could end up becoming one of the most desirable versions of the SUV yet.
