Most Lamborghini owners go to great lengths to keep their supercars away from water. One driver has taken the exact opposite approach, using his exotic coupe as a tow vehicle and launching a jet ski straight into a lake.
A video of the stunt was posted on Instagram by 702 Memes and has quickly spread across social media. Instead of arriving with a pickup truck or SUV, the driver simply reversed his Lamborghini down a boat ramp until the rear of the car was partially submerged.
After the jet ski floated free, the Lamborghini calmly drove back up the ramp and away as if nothing unusual had happened. The clip has left many viewers wondering whether the driver was incredibly lucky or knew exactly what he was doing.
Judging by the proportions and rear-end styling, the car appears to be a Lamborghini Huracán. While it certainly isn’t designed as a boat-launch vehicle, one key detail may have worked in its favor during the unusual launch.
The Engine Was Never Underwater

Unlike most pickup trucks or front-engine cars, the Huracán carries its naturally aspirated V10 behind the driver and ahead of the rear axle. That means the engine sits much higher and farther from the water than many people might expect when the car is backed down a launch ramp.
From the footage, the water appears to reach roughly the bottom of the doors while the rear bumper and trailer hitch are submerged. Although that still isn’t something Lamborghini engineers likely had in mind, the engine itself never appears to go underwater.
That doesn’t necessarily mean the car escaped without risk. Modern supercars contain electronics, sensors, wiring, wheel bearings, and other components that generally aren’t intended for repeated exposure to lake water.
Social Media Loved It
Unlike many viral automotive videos that spark criticism, this one generated overwhelmingly positive reactions. Many commenters praised the owner for actually using the Lamborghini instead of hiding it away in a climate-controlled garage.
Others said they had seen the same white Huracán around Las Vegas and Lake Mead before, with several claiming it regularly appears at local car shows and cruises. One commenter joked that the driver “knows how to launch better than 99 percent of you,” while another applauded him for using the exotic as intended instead of treating it like a museum piece.
Several viewers also pointed out that seeing a Lamborghini towing a jet ski was unusual enough, but watching it back into a lake made the video even more memorable.
A Bad Idea That Somehow Worked
Whether this is something anyone should try is another question entirely. Water and expensive performance cars rarely mix well, especially when thousands of dollars’ worth of electronics sit close to the ground.
Still, in this case, the Lamborghini pulled the jet ski into the water, drove back out under its own power, and carried on without any obvious drama. Judging by the reaction online, most viewers weren’t focused on the risk—they were simply impressed that someone had the confidence to use a six-figure supercar in such an unexpected way.
