Lucid has taken its already quick Gravity and turned it into something bordering on absurd. The new Gravity GT-S packs 1,070 horsepower while still offering three-row practicality and room for up to seven occupants.
According to Lucid Motors, the GT-S is the performance flagship of the Gravity lineup and will arrive in late 2026 as a 2027 model. Pricing starts at $125,900 before taxes, destination, documentation fees, and options.
Its headline figure is a claimed 0-60 mph time of 3.1 seconds, which puts this large electric SUV firmly into modern sports-car territory. Lucid also lists a 155-mph top speed, making the GT-S far removed from the typical family hauler.
The GT-S follows the same general philosophy as Lucid’s Air Sapphire, combining enormous electric power with a relatively restrained exterior. Rather than giving the Gravity an extreme body kit, Lucid has focused on subtle visual changes, upgraded dynamics, and a huge jump in output.
1,070 HP With Three Rows
The GT-S produces 1,070 horsepower, substantially more than the 828 hp offered by the Gravity Grand Touring. Lucid describes it as America’s most powerful three-row SUV, while an enhanced launch mode helps put all of that output to use.
Straight-line acceleration is predictably brutal, with the company claiming 3.1 seconds from rest to 60 mph. That means a vehicle capable of hauling children, luggage, and groceries can accelerate at a pace that would have embarrassed many dedicated supercars not long ago.
Lucid hasn’t turned the Gravity into a one-dimensional drag-strip machine, either. Rear-wheel steering comes standard, helping improve maneuverability at lower speeds while adding stability when traveling faster.
Air Suspension Helps Control The Beast
The Gravity GT-S also receives adaptive three-chamber air suspension designed to balance aggressive handling with ride comfort. The system can automatically lower the SUV at higher speeds to improve stability, aerodynamics, and overall handling behavior.
Those chassis upgrades should be particularly important given the performance on offer. Sending four-digit horsepower through a large three-row SUV demands considerably more than a powerful pair of electric motors if the finished product is expected to feel controlled rather than simply fast.
Lucid’s Dynamic Handling Package forms a major part of that approach, combining the rear-wheel steering and adaptive suspension with the GT-S’s performance calibration. The result is intended to make the flagship Gravity feel sharper without sacrificing the comfort expected from an expensive luxury SUV.
It Still Has Serious Range
Performance naturally takes a toll on efficiency, although the GT-S still promises substantial driving range. Lucid currently projects 373 miles on a charge, although the company notes that an official EPA estimate has not yet been published.
Charging performance remains impressive as well. Lucid says the GT-S can add up to 200 miles of range in around 14 minutes when connected to a suitable 400-kW DC fast charger, with real-world charging speeds depending on conditions and equipment.
The SUV also uses a native NACS charging port, opening access to a broad network of compatible fast chargers. That practicality matters in a vehicle positioned as both a performance flagship and a genuine long-distance family machine.
Blue Details Set The GT-S Apart
Visually, Lucid has avoided making the GT-S unnecessarily loud. Signature blue detailing appears throughout the SUV, including blue brake calipers and matching accents inside the cabin.
The interior receives blue stitching, piping, seat belts, and other Sapphire-inspired touches, while Lucid’s bear logo appears embossed into the front headrests. Buyers can choose wheel packages ranging from 21 to 23 inches, depending on configuration.
The familiar Gravity cabin and flexible seating remain, so the GT-S doesn’t surrender its practical side in pursuit of performance. Fold-flat seating and the spacious three-row layout remain central to the vehicle’s appeal.
A Family SUV With Supercar Numbers
At $125,900, the Gravity GT-S certainly isn’t cheap, although its combination of space, range, and performance is unusual even within the rapidly growing high-performance EV market. Few vehicles capable of seating an entire family can also deliver 1,070 horsepower and reach 60 mph in barely over three seconds.
Lucid has effectively created a three-row electric rocket that still intends to function as an everyday luxury SUV. Whether anyone actually needs 1,070 hp on the school run is another question, although having it available certainly makes that commute considerably more interesting.
