Lamborghini is making a leadership change in one of its most important global markets. The Italian supercar manufacturer has appointed longtime company executive Christian Mastro as the new Chief Executive Officer of Automobili Lamborghini America.
Mastro officially takes over on July 1, replacing Andrea Baldi, who led Lamborghini’s Americas operations since 2021. After serving as interim CEO, Mastro has now been confirmed in the role on a permanent basis.
The appointment comes as Lamborghini enters a new phase of its history. Following record global sales and the completion of its hybrid transition across the core lineup, the company is preparing for its next stage of growth throughout North and South America.
With decades of experience inside both Lamborghini and Bugatti, Mastro brings extensive knowledge of the luxury performance market. His responsibilities will include overseeing regional operations, supporting the dealer network, and strengthening customer relationships across the Americas.
A Familiar Face Steps Into The Top Role
Mastro is no stranger to Lamborghini. He joined the company in 2004 and has spent more than two decades serving in senior leadership positions across several international markets.
His career has included roles as General Manager for the Asia-Pacific region, EMEA Region Director, and Commercial Director at Bugatti, where he worked alongside current Lamborghini Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann. In 2021, Mastro returned to Lamborghini as Global Marketing Director, helping shape many of the brand’s highest-profile launches and marketing initiatives.
During that time, he played an important role in events such as Monterey Car Week and Art Basel Miami, two key showcases for Lamborghini’s products and clientele. Those experiences have given him a detailed understanding of both the brand and its customers.
Announcing the appointment, Winkelmann praised Mastro’s leadership abilities, international experience, and long-standing commitment to the company, saying those qualities make him well-suited to lead Lamborghini’s Americas business into its next chapter.
Leading Lamborghini Through A Changing Market

Mastro inherits the role during a period of significant transformation for the supercar industry. Lamborghini has now electrified its entire core lineup, replacing traditional combustion-only models with plug-in hybrid successors.
The Revuelto introduced hybrid power to the company’s flagship V12, while the Temerario replaced the Huracán with a twin-turbocharged hybrid V8. The updated Urus has also adopted plug-in hybrid technology, completing the transition across Lamborghini’s primary production models.
The company’s strategy has evolved in recent years as well. Lamborghini has delayed plans for its first fully electric production vehicle, with the Lanzador concept now expected to enter production later in the decade as a plug-in hybrid rather than a battery-electric model.
One of Mastro’s key responsibilities will be maintaining customer enthusiasm for this new generation of electrified performance cars while preserving the brand’s traditional appeal among enthusiasts and collectors.
Americas Remain Critical To Lamborghini’s Growth

The leadership change follows another successful year for the company. Lamborghini delivered a record 10,747 vehicles globally during 2025, with 3,347 of those sales coming from the Americas, making the region one of the manufacturer’s largest and most valuable markets.
As CEO of Automobili Lamborghini America, Mastro will oversee operations throughout North and South America while working closely with dealer partners and customers. He will also guide regional marketing efforts and help support the launch of future products expected to expand the lineup.
Industry observers anticipate several high-profile Lamborghini debuts in the near future, including additional variants of the Urus, Temerario, and Revuelto. Successfully introducing those models while maintaining Lamborghini’s strong sales momentum will likely be among Mastro’s first major priorities.
With demand for ultra-luxury performance vehicles remaining resilient, Lamborghini appears well-positioned for continued growth. The company’s decision to place a veteran executive in charge of its Americas operations signals confidence in both the region’s importance and the brand’s long-term strategy.
