Blueface had barely made it through one alarming police response before another one arrived — and then another.

The rapper, whose legal name is Johnathan Porter, was the target of three swatting incidents in Santa Clarita over roughly six weeks this summer, according to local reporting that separately confirmed the calls with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. Each time, deputies were sent to a location connected to Porter after receiving a report suggesting an immediate threat or violent crime.

The locations changed. The pattern did not. Deputies went to a Canyon Country residence in July, Porter’s King of Crabs restaurant in August and MB2 Entertainment in September. In each case, Porter was reportedly livestreaming when the call came in or deputies arrived.

The reports were serious enough to trigger armed law-enforcement responses. They also repeatedly proved false.

That distinction was made after deputies actually reached the locations and investigated, turning what first sounded like shootings or weapons calls into a three-stop timeline of apparent harassment playing out in front of an online audience.

First Call

The first documented incident happened July 21 at a Canyon Country residence associated with Porter. Deputies were dispatched after receiving a report of an assault with a deadly weapon involving a woman who had supposedly been shot, The Santa Clarita Valley Signal reported, citing sheriff’s spokesperson Shirley Miller.

Deputies found no injured person. Miller said the scene was cleared and the call was determined to be a swatting incident.

KHTS reported Porter was livestreaming on Kick at the time. The stream showed him and a cameraman being detained while deputies searched the residence. Miller told the station that no shooting had occurred and deputies found no evidence of a crime.

Restaurant Repeat

A little more than a month later, the next call sent deputies to King of Crabs on Bouquet Canyon Road.

Deputies responded at about 5:27 p.m. Aug. 23 following a report of a shooting, according to City News Service reporting published by MyNewsLA. Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Sgt. Josh Nemeth confirmed Porter was detained and later released.

“Deputies responded, completed an investigation and determined no crime occurred at the location,” Nemeth told City News Service.

Complex reported that Porter was streaming from the restaurant when deputies arrived. Clips from the stream circulating online showed him being directed outside with his hands up as the encounter unfolded on camera.

Three In Six

The FBI describes swatting as the malicious use of hoax emergency reports to falsely create an immediate threat to life and draw a law-enforcement response to a particular location. An August 2026 FBI alert specifically lists false reports of shootings, bomb threats and hostage situations among the calls used in swatting incidents.

The third confirmed Santa Clarita incident came Sept. 2 at MB2 Entertainment on Golden Triangle Road.

Deputies responded after an anonymous caller claimed Porter was brandishing a weapon, according to KHTS. Sheriff’s spokesperson Deputy Mariela Picard said the caller described what Porter was wearing and reported that he had displayed a weapon while livestreaming.

“It was a swatting call on ‘Blueface’ rapper,” Picard told the station.

Deputies again determined no crime had been committed.
