A Florida driver wanted in a highway crash that killed three people has been arrested more than two years later. His mother was among those killed in the 2024 collision.
Jean S. Dorisca, 48, was arrested in Boca Raton on October 29, 2026, on an Osceola County felony warrant, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. He faces three counts of vehicular homicide tied to the July 16, 2024, collision.
The crash happened on State Road 60 near the Polk-Osceola County line. Troopers accuse Dorisca of trying to pass a semi-truck in a marked no-passing zone and colliding with oncoming traffic.
FHP says Dorisca evaded arrest after the crash and was designated one of its most wanted fugitives. Its Criminal Alien Apprehension Team made the arrest.
A Home Address
Team members located Dorisca at a Boca Raton residence on October 28. The next day, they carried out a targeted operation and took him into custody without incident.
FHP identified Dorisca as a Haitian national who is a lawful permanent resident of the United States. The agency also raised the possibility of losing his permanent resident status in announcing the arrest.
The Next County
Under Florida’s vehicular homicide law, the offense involves a death caused by driving recklessly in a manner likely to kill or seriously injure someone. FHP says Dorisca faces up to 45 years in state prison if convicted.
After the arrest, troopers took him to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center and booked him on the outstanding warrant. FHP’s November 2 release said he remained in custody pending extradition to Osceola County.
All parties are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
