Florida Man Caught On Ring Camera Exposing Himself. Again

A woman in Gainesville, Florida, discovered that her Ring security camera had captured a man engaging in what police described as “lewd behavior” on her second-floor back porch. The footage eventually helped officers identify a suspect who was still wearing clothing seen in the recording.

The incident occurred late Friday night, October 2, 2026, but the woman did not report it to the Gainesville Police Department until Tuesday, October 6.

She told officers that she had previously been confronted by the same individual and was concerned about her safety. Despite that earlier encounter, she did not know who he was.

Police ultimately identified the man as 29-year-old Jaimickel Donnel Florence. He was arrested on an outstanding probation-violation warrant and a new voyeurism charge after officers circulated images from the security footage.

A Familiar Face

The Gainesville Police Department described the woman’s report in a public statement announcing Florence’s arrest. Officers used still images from the Ring recording to create a bulletin and distributed it to identify the person shown on the porch.

The bulletin quickly produced a lead. Officers located Florence and determined that he matched the individual depicted in the video.

One detail stood out: Florence was still wearing the same shoes and pants visible in the footage.

Police did not specify how Florence accessed the second-floor porch or describe the exact behavior captured on camera beyond characterizing it as lewd. The department also did not explain what occurred during the woman’s earlier confrontation with the individual.

Two Arrest Grounds

Florence was arrested on an outstanding warrant for violating probation, along with the new voyeurism allegation. Officers transported him to the Alachua County Jail.

A search of the Alachua County Clerk of Court’s criminal records confirms that Florence was charged with misdemeanor voyeurism on October 8, 2026.

The charge falls under Florida Statute 810.14, which prohibits secretly observing another person under specified circumstances involving an expectation of privacy and lewd, lascivious, or indecent intent.

A first violation is classified as a first-degree misdemeanor. The charge is an accusation, not a finding of guilt. As of October 14, the misdemeanor case remained open. The court’s online summary listed Florence as in custody for that case.

Others May Exist

The Gainesville Police Department believes the October 2 incident may not have been isolated. “We believe there may be additional victims within our community,” the department wrote in its public statement.

Police asked anyone who had contact with Florence or witnessed him behaving inappropriately to contact the department.

The department also emphasized the role of residential security cameras in documenting suspected criminal activity and helping officers identify people seen in recordings.

In this case, the woman’s Ring camera footage was circulated by officers before officers located Florence. His clothing then provided an additional visual match to the person recorded on her porch.

Police have not publicly identified additional victims in the statement or announced further charges arising from other encounters.
